I recently bought a TA-082 2.71 PSP and obviously I wanted to get homebrew software happening. What I was advised to do was:
1. Update to 2.80 firmware.
2. Downgrade to 1.50.
3. Upgrade to 3.02 OE-A.
3. Up to 3.02 OE-B.
Everything seemed to work fine, the Cube Sample homebrew app worked as a tester (I think this was after upping to 2.80).
Now when I try and run either a homebrew app or even boot into a game from a UMD, the splash screen comes up, and simply locks at a black "PSP" logo on a white background. Other features on the PSP work fine (music et c, firmware is obviously upped because I now have visualisations et c.) so it's not a total brick.
I didn't use any auto installers or anything, I manually moved all the files as I was going along (I have heard about problems with some of these auto installers that run from your PC).
Basically the obvious question is, how can I get my PSP out of this state, and fulfil my original goal of running homebrew apps?
Thanks in advance! If you need any more info, let me know. I tried to be as descriptive as possible.
