No, the guide tells how to to dump a firmware when you can't access XMB, not copying yours.

On your PSP, or was it a backup?

Obviously he deleted it off his PSP.

Don't turn off your PSP!

Quickly restore a backup of flash0

Or you'll have a nice paperweight

I always wondered how you accidentally delete flash0...
Right click, hit delete, ARE YOU SURE????, yeah...

Simply press of the Delete key and poof everything is gone.

(That is if you disabled the "Are you sure..." warning in XP)

I'll never understand how someone can accidentally upgrade to a undowngradable firmware or how someone can "accidentally" brick a PSP.

The mysteries of the homebrew scene.

Is the linked PSAR dumper the newest one? Anyhow, on the PSAR dumper RAR, theres 3 folders that have the EBOOT.PBP:

1-"1.00"

2-"psardumpmod"

3-"psardumpmod%"

Which is the one I have to use on this step:

"Open up the EBOOT.PBP from the PSPFWDumper to ms0:/psp/game/recovery. If there happens to not be a folder there, create one."

Does it matter at all? What about the "Team C+D PSAR Firmware Dumper" EBOOT.PBP, it mentions its 3.30 on the readme. Im using the firmware 3.40 OE-A, what do I need to do? I already downloaded the 3.40 update and ran the PBP Unpacker v0.94 on that and have the DATA.PSAR file extracted and waiting to be used.

Thanks for the help.

1.00 is the one that you copy to psp/game/recovry.

Allright, I just finished doing it. Now I have a F0 folder on the root of my memory stick and I have copied that folder to my pc as backup. What do I do with the F0 folder on the memory stick now though? Do I just leave it there or can you delete it? Also, I was abit scared while it was I was doing this step:

""Run Program at /PSP/Game/Recovery/EBOOT.PBP"."

due to the whole text thing and at one point in the end I saw a glimpse of a text mentioning this: "178 errors". Still, it seems everything is fine right now, the psp restarted on its own and right now im on the XMB menu system and the F0 file appeared as mentioned on the guide. Should I be worried about that 178 error thing? Is it normal? Can I turn the psp off safely?

EDIT: Can I also delete the file that I put on the recovery folder?

I see, so the 178 error thing is normal sort of like those corrupted icons showing up in 3.40 OE-A once you have installed it, am I right? Thanks for the reply.

I always get a lot of errors with PSAR dumper, but the dumps work with Devhook anyways, so I suppose it is.

There is no 3.40 PSAR dumper, well, there is, but it can't be linked here on QJ since it has copy righted files.

And either folder will do.

Great guide. Kudos to you for posting it.

[QUOTE=AngryStudent]Nice guide; although can't you just copy it all?

These arent the "original". When you flash to CFW it alters them.

You have to hard boot. Try holding the power button for 10 seconds or taking out the battery for a little while then try it

Make a dump of your firmware, then replace the web browser files listed here with the ones in your flash.
