Having never had to unbrick my PSP (thank god) and only using the recovery menu in its simplest of functions can someone please clarify this part of Dark Alex's instructions:
- Use the app under a cfw with 2.x or 3.x kernel (be sure that kernel is
selected on recovery to the correct one (2.x or 3.x))
What does it mean by making sure the kernel is selected on recovery to correct one?
Does tis mean change the
'Run program at /psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp (by the way, which ebbot do I need here 1.50 or 3.71?)
or change the
'game folder homebrew (currently: 3.71 kernel)?
I am currently on 3.71m33
It means your Game Folder Homebrew must be 3.xx (in your case 3.71) ;)Originally Posted by speedingmick
i did everything step by step and i have a pandora MS and pandora battery but when put my MS in my slim psp and then the pandora battery nothing happens, the led doesnt start to change it color or something. I am on 3.6. What can be the problem?
Try following the guide by Moose_Island (he just wrote it). There's a link in my first post ;)
damn evertime i try to format my psp using mspformat i get this message:
"Pseudo format is not necessary..."
what does it mean?
Try formatting your memory stick with the PSP, then use the mspformat.exe.
Just wanted to say thanks DarkSeveN for the speedy response and clarification.
SO this is fairly usless on a phat?
It'll allow you to go immediatly to 3.71M33 without going to 1.50 first :)Originally Posted by headlesslizard
I don't have the magic stick files, but would it be ok if I used the files from this 'Pandora_s_Jigstick___Mag ic_Memory_Card_Installer' ?
Also can I use it on the 3.71 OF on the PSP Slim?
Yes to both :)

Again with the wrong answers...
He's got the files from the 1.50-based unbricker. He can't use that on a slim.

okay im getting a slim in the next hour or two and i have a pandora so will this put 3.71 M33 on the Phat to because i dont want that i like it putting 1.50 on my phat and is this safely working like the Pandora
No, it won't. It'll only flash the PSP you want it to flash.
So what are the choices of flashes
And 1.50 because when i brick my Phat i dont want 3.71 M33 installed
is this any use to phat owners. obviously its needed by slim owners but whats the difference between this and the original pandora menu for phat owners
if you got a phat your old pandoras good unless you like 3.71 M33Originally Posted by vodkkaa
hey guys. my psp doesnt want to turn on anymore. i have just made a pandora battery with the original pandora battery maker. Now everytime i try to turn it on the green light turns on for a sec and turn off again. How can i solve this problem? I my psp bricked? i didnt do anything on it. I have 3.71 M33 with DA 1.5 kernel add on.
What was your last flash operation?
Leave the battery out of the psp, take out mem stick, take out charger, leave over night, try again tomorrow morning.
Pandora doesnt boot either right?
Linux + Windows = Lindows FTW
Are you trying to boot normally with a Pandora Battery? If so, you can't. You need a magic memory stick in order to boot with a Pandora Battery. And that will get you to service mode.Originally Posted by carlosp
Make sure you have a normal battery in order to boot normally. If the battery you converted into a Pandora was your only one, too bad. You'll have to buy a new one.
This never fixes flash0. Ever. The only thing this does is make your PSP reset the system settings stored in flash1, and if the file system is corrupt in flash1, it'll still be messed up.Originally Posted by SethisPlease... if you don't know what you're talking about... don't answer. Those answers are both wrong.Originally Posted by S_Tsung
There are a few programs that let you boot up normally, like booster's multi-ipl booter and the Extended Pandora Boot Menu. And you can always change your battery back.

Sure. Pandora's battery doesn't require a psp to be bricked in order to work.Originally Posted by mute12

He also wrote on maxconsole that it is a huge step to support the 1.50 kernel on the slim in the futureOriginally Posted by Dark_Alex
