Is this only for 3000s or will it work on 2000v3s as well? I'm on 5.03GEN-B with a 2000v3 and it isn't working for me. I didn't think the OFW the PSP goes to after being shutdown would recognize the Sedna.prx module because it isn't offical. Wouldn't patching these modules mess up your PSP because those modules are offical and editing them would cause a brick?

I think that it is for all the psps that runs 5.03 GEN.
I am not 100% sure.

I got it to work now. It only works when you shutdown from the vsh menu(kinda just like putting it in sleep mode) and it wasn't working for me because it isn't compatible with Ultimate VSH Menu Revised. Holding up the power button will still turn it off. I just gonna continue to put it in sleep mode, but it DOES work
(a step in the right direction)

didn't work for me,just created a file which looked like a virus and you couldn't delete...CFW 3.60 was also not loading after gameboot with the plugin on the mem stick so i couldn't check if the plugin was enabled or not.
Bye the way is it automatically enabled? |

You must enable it in the vsh.txt.
Guy this is for the 5.03 GEN not CFWE.

@atomic_boneman I got it to work on my PSP 2000 with a TA-088v3 mobo and my friend's 3000. Just as nickxab said it won't work with CFWEnabler, you have to use 5.03GEN-A or B

This plugin is pretty much pointless. You can accomplish the same thing by using sleep mode. I don't think they can remove the reset and shutdown modules because they are offical and the vsh menu is only a way to call on those modules when you want. I think this plugin really only re-routes the shutdown module to the sleep mode module when the vsh menu calls for it.

No, I don't have a weird hidden file. What is it named? I agree you should just leave your PSP the way it is because this plugin is useless.

It may be a dummy file made by the plugin or it is made because you were using CFWEnabler and it is made for 5.03GEN. I think it created the file because the vsh menu modules are different so when it tried to patch the shutdown and reboot it couldn't and created this file. I would like to see it though.

really? your earlier post says CFW 3.60. Now I really want to see it. You said it was a hidden file and had to use you computer to find it? I can't get to my computer till monday. I'm using my PSP right now, but monday I will try to recreate this file to see what it is.

atomic_boneman. This is the last straw, if you keep on spamming posts to get your post count higher, then leave this forum. You could've just edited your first post inorder to place the second idea. I have told you this before.
Grats, you got a 3 day vacation.

Yes, but that option is still used by people including me. If you don't want to use it then thats fine, but they still want to give us the freedom to use it. Also removing it would probably require recodeing the entire vsh menu and that would be unnecessary when all you would have to do is be careful not to use the shutdown option.

Good try for this plugin but I kinda think its useless for now.. I believe most of the users of ChickHen never ever restarts their PSP in anyway.. the only time the PSP restarts is if a homebrew/game fails or failing to charge when flat.. I seriously see no reason (or at least I never had the need) to do the shutdown via VSH mode.
Still its a start.. |
