WHAT IS IT?:
This is a workaround to use the FATMS371 speedup hack with 5.50-GEND2.
This is a hack, nothing more. I did not write these prx modules I simply came up with a way
to make FATMS371 coexists with the decryption components of 5.50 GEN-D2 which until now
was not possible.
[this has only been tested on the PSP1000]

This will be handy because my 4GB Sandisk after firmware 3.71 wasn't recognised and sometimes using the FATMSMOD hack messed my PSP before.

Hmmm the fatmsmod has a lot of problems.

Guys, actually there is an MS speed hack for the 5.50 GEN firmwares. I will bookmark this thread for later link.

@nickxab, I helped bestyugiman last time with this, and I told him about the MS speed hack. Not this one in the current thread. I will be back as soon as I reply to the other threads. :P

You should know that this is actually just an experiment. its compatibility with a mixture of seplugins is also unknown. just food for thought.:o

these files are apart of FATMS HAXMOD except, the bin files do not include the GEN-D decryption prx (pegasus.prx ) adding this to the bin files won't work.
however....... loading it as a seplugin does work;)
bypassing the bin file problem
so now you have gen-d game decryption and MS speed up

i have been having issues with my install eboot manly because my flash on my 2 PSPs had to re partitioned and formatted and reflashed bla bla bla... im making further corrections to but in the mean time any one can install the speed up hack manually .
first backup:

pspbtjnf.bin
pspbtknf.bin
pspbtlnf.bin

in your kd folder in you flash0 root then
simply copy

pspbtjnf.bin
pspbtknf.bin
pspbtlnf.bin
fatms371_friend.prx
fm371.prx

from the kd folder in the GENDMS foler to your kd folder in you flash0 root.
(ignore the vshctrl.prx and pspbtcnf.bin ) and add this line:
flash0:/kd/peagasus.prx 1 to you game.txt file in seplugins folder and you are
ready....to....rock :icon_bigg

This installs fine on my 1000, but I don't really notice any speed increase. I still can't use any compressed cso's of games like vice city stories, etc without lag. And also, it makes irshell no longer boot. I had to uninstall and then copy over my flash0 backup to get irshell to even boot again.

Okay after testing this, here is what I think:

Don't update using this program. Why?

1 - You won't be able to play games unless you add the line "flash0:/....", which is automatically added on first install. But the problem is that you won't be able to play it on an another memorystick, which doesn't contain that line in game.txt (since the installer was ran on the other MS). That is very important.

2 - Not much of a speed increase.

3 - All of the new games worked on it except SVR2009 (which was working before installing the patch).

4 - I was obliged to reflash 5.50 GEN-D2 to play SVR2009, even though I uninstalled the program.

I just installed Dark_Alexs fatmsmod for 500 on my 5.50 GEN-D2 slim, and the speed up was nice.
Also my games decrypt fine. Not sure why anyone felt a MOD of this was necessary...

Dark_Alexs fatmsmod for 500 doesn't work on fat PSPs, only on slim, but this mod works fine on fats too.

Of course it works... on 5.00.
But it doesn't on 5.50, the fat PSP crashes at gameboot.
