This is a discussion on Psp Keyboard In September! within the PSP News, Announcements & Contests forums, part of the PSP Chat category; Pwnt = ?...
Maybe it's the new form of PWNED, which was the new form of OWNED, which was the short form of I OWNED J00, which was...
...God I hate the Internet.
If you don't know what "pwnt" means and you are on a video game board then please remove yourself...
Have figured it out already. But where was the comment aimed?
Mmm. Anyway, to get back on track here. I don’t think the keyboard is there so much for .doc and .txt. I think it does make for better browsing though - and that's without the "unofficial" Sony browser. But the idea of having access to a faster typing tool is a good one – however you choose to use it. I don’t think it suggests that it replaces a laptop etc, only that your PSP becomes more versatile. Something that Sony has to take very seriously, because they know that the DS is serious about it. it comes down to marketing.
Keyboard + Infrastructure + MMO on PSP = Instant Gold, and money in the bank for Sony!

The USB port on top.
This might be a real dumb question but if the keyboard will so rarely be used why doesnt someone just write a driver to use a normal USB keyboard? That would be the cheapest and easiest way to facilitate someone who will rarely use a keyboard, and on maybe even a mouse driver! I am sure it would be better to play Doom or other FPS with a mouse and put the PSP in a stand to hold it.
Like I said dude, lyrics, sometimes I have nothing to write with, but I ALWAYS have my PSP. I've lost alot of good lines and rhymes because I had nothing to write on/with.Originally Posted by KINGOFNOOBS

I wouldn't mind seeing a word processor on the PSP. I'd use it all the time. I can write about apples...and theoretical extremism that is choking this nation to death.
maybe the next firmware update? I would've tohught they would've put it on the latest one!Originally Posted by AppledBlood CandyStaff

I think the keyboard wouldn't be really practical, you'll have to put your psp on a surface to type properly and it doesn't look so sturdy to me... the keyboard is a good idea but i rather use the built in virtual keybaord.
I would like to see it work with Doom. Then you could enter cheat codes.
what are the dimensions of each key?
the clear keyboard looks pretty nice, when people mentioned keyboard i was picturing a full-sized one, and started to question the intellegence of people lol, and as for the keyboard and mouse idea for FPSs, i just think thats silly. That'd make the psp alot less portable.
Man, a keyboard sounds good right about now. Typing this with the psp is rather tedious =(
