Good point. The hardware is different so it might not work. Sony most likely changed the structure of the firmware on purpose in order to halt hacks on the new model.Zitat:

I know this might have been answered already but this is ok for any PSP motherboard (82/86)? Or do you have to patch the motherboard or anything before doing this panodras battery? Thanks for the help.
If we are able to get the Pandora menu, you could always back up the NAND before attempting anything. If it bricks, you can likely recover your NAND backup.Zitat:

Yes, it should work just fine on any motherboard. Right now it will work on ANY PSP.Zitat:

Also how big of a memory stick is recommended to do the whole project?
Any Memory Stick Pro Duo will work. They recommend a 256MB Memory stick I believe, although I don't think you actually need that much space.
You need about 100MB max, I believe, as they dump flash files and create some other files that range from 1-25mb.Zitat:

i wonder who will be the first brave soul that tries this on their shiny and brand new slim psp?Zitat:

this should help alot of people and i mean alot of people
and sony will be relly pissed off lol
sony is the king no more
i would see if i can acutally get pandora menu working on the slim but i wont downgrade it at all. i wouldnt risk it.Zitat:

If they try it right when they get it and it bricks with no way to recover, they could just take it back to the store and return it telling them it didn't work right when they took it out of the box.Zitat:

I'm gonna give it a go when i get a PSP Slim, but I doubt it'll work as I reckon Sony have probably stopped the PSP Slim from going below Firmware 3.60Zitat:

very true. lets cross our fingers and hope for the best. i wouldn't mind having a new slim black psp...only if i can run cfw.Zitat:

If it doesn't happen right away, it isn't the end of the world though. Sure I'd like my Star Wars one to be able to be hacked when I get it, but if I'm sure it will happen eventually ;)
If we can, it'll be great for Homebrew as we'll then have 32MB more RAM to play around with, Dadaelus would benefit alot from that! :)Zitat:

For those discussing pandoras battery and the PSP Slim, please carry your conversation to Here so we can continue helping those with questions here. Thanks.
Actually, this is the best place to discuss things. The guide thread is the place for help.
Well I think it makes more sense to leave this thread for general battery discussion and help. The Slim topic should be in Speculation and will help those who come to this thread for help be able to find an answer faster and easier :)
I'll play along for now but what is more likely is we'll just end end up with another thread full of the same discussions.
Message for xpack: Did this fix your psp that was bricked from m33?
Seth
You do know you can pm users for these types of things..
Yea i couldnt find his user, T_T and also i forgot about search at the time >< but now i remember hahah tbanks
Congratulations to the CD Team, They have unlocked unlimited potential in all psp(besides hardware damaged ones). Now ALL psp can downgrade no matter what firmware, and now all bricked psps can be unbricked, this is a great accomplishment. LONG LIVE HOMEBREW ! TO HELL WITH SONY!
Great work on this unbricker. One question I have, would the pandora battery be charged via the normal method of putting the pandora battery in the PSP and plug in the AC adaptor or is it some other method. Thanks.
to above just turn psp on with ac cord and then insert batt and go into standby. there you go its charging
I wonder, can you use a MAX Power 3.6 V 1800mAh Battery with this, or does it have to be the original PSP Battery?
You can use any battery.
Any battery will work
Thanks alot, It's actually been a while since I last posted here.
But with the possibility of unbricking my PSP, getting back into the scene was the first thing on my mind.
Thanks again for the quick replies.
EDIT - Actually apparently you can do it with ONE battery, so I might as well do that instead of shelling out some 29€ for a battery pack.
o god, now no one will want lumines :(
batteries will be sold out everywhere, get them while you can !!!!!!!!
... *tear forms in my eye*
lumines is still one of the best games on the psp it well worth picking up even without the downgrade...
I have 4 of these batteries now...
I have also downdated 10, 3.52 PSP's :) and no bricks... I wonder why...:D:ROFL:
THIS IS GREAT!!!
has anyone try making the magic memory stick and pandora battery using a ta-082 2.71 HEND psp(i saw reply said that you can also use a homebew-enable psp to do it)? if anyone know how please give me some instructions.
because i dont have 1.5 or custom firmware. i only have ta-082 with 2.71 HEND.
thx so much for the help
i dont know if this question has already been asked (ive been away for 3 weeks)
but can you still use you memory stick i know your battery wont work but no mention of the memory stick
You can restore your MemStick as well as your battery back to "normal".Zitat:
Zitat von emcp
I did that.... plenty of times already *lol*
Do a full format of the MemStick, or run the batterymaker again and press [] to revert the battery.
I am currently changing both from one mode to the other quity frequently :D
A few questions:
Will this work on the larger psp battery, the one that lasts for longer?
Does it only work on the official batteries, or can it be used with 3rd party devices?
thanks alot (my bros gonna be happy lol)Zitat:

I keep getting this massage with msinst : can't open MSIPL. HELP!!!
Typeinto CMD.Code:msinst X msipl.bin
Make sure your msipl.bin is in the same directory as the msinst.exe, and X = your PSP drive letter.
