I have a bricked slim PSP. It has the 3.90 M33 firmware on it. When I turn it on, without a battery and plugged into the AC adapter, the green light will come on for about 15-20 seconds or so, then go off. The screen does not flicker, come on, etc -- at all.
When I have my regular battery in, it does the same thing.
When I load it up with my pandora battery, it turns on green and stays that way indefinitely until I fully power it off via holding the power button in the upward position for a few seconds. No screen comes on, no flicker, etc.
when i made my first stick that worked to mod the psp, i made a copy of it and just rarred it up, and uploaded it to www.hunterxaz.com/misc/Removable_Drive.rar (if you want to see it) -- after that I formatted it and used it regularly for other things. (Movies, music, games, etc)
I also tried to just go into the recovery mode w/ my regular battery -- holding right trigger w/o the memory stick in. Nothing comes on the screen. Just flat black. Same goes w/ being plugged into the AC unit.
Now, I thought if I ever needed my stick again, I'd simply be able to copy the files from the RAR back to the stick. However, that's not working.
I've tried two methods while turning it on:
1) Insert the pandora battery, light turns green, then hard power it off. Insert memory stick, hold down left trigger, then turn on the system. Green light comes on, but nothing happens.
2) Insert memory stick, hold down left trigger, power on system. Same result, green light comes on, but nothing happens.
Now, was I under a false assumption that I would simply be able to copy the files back to the memory stick, or is my system bricked beyond repair?
I have my buddies PSP but it's not modded, it's the Daxter silver slim one. Is there any way I can fix this by myself, or will I Need someone to create the UPMS / memory stick for me? If so, can this be done over the internet, or does it have to be in real life?
