Lightbulb Guide: Converting/Using a Slim battery in a Fat PSP + Vid

Update: Made a quick edit of cory149's OS Pandora Battery Tool v0.6 for this method, You can no longer backup, restore the eeprom, or create an auto boot battery.

    Video #2

You do this at your own risk!!

Never dump the serial, make a normal battery, or Pandora. Nothing else.*

The only time your Slim battery should be in a Fat PSP is in service mode, With the A/C adapter plugged in*

    The Guide:

To boot a Fat PSP with a Slim Pandora battery:

    1. You need the A/C adapter plugged in.
    2. Plugin the A/C adapter.
    3. Insert in Pandora Slim battery.
    4. Remove as soon as you are at the service mode screen. (ASAP)

To convert a Slim battery in Fat:

    1. Enter service mode with your Fat battery, run cory149's battery tool.
    2. Agree (Press X) (A must)
    3. Convert your Fat battery to any other mode, so the convert to Pandora option is shown.
    4. Insert the Slim battery.
    5. Make sure the charge light is on (IT MUST BE FOR THIS TO WORK)
    6. Convert it and remove ASAP.

    The what if?:

If the charge light does not come on, or you create a dead battery somehow, just plug the charger into your slim and the Battery, turn all power save settings off, and wait. (The screen never goes off, and CPU set @ 333MHz) After a few hours the Slim battery will charge. I have never fully killed any Slim battery.

The making the Slim battery fit:

To fit a Slim battery in to a fat like in the video, you need to cut off the pegs from the bottem of the battery as shown:

    The how does this wok:*
This works because you never should keep the slim battery in a Fat PSP for more then 30 seconds. Never Have the Slim battery in a Fat PSP then Plug in the A/C adapter.

    Thanks to:
cory149 for OS Pandora Battery Tool**
cory149, has no interest in supporting any part of this method that uses his battery tool. Please do not ask him any questions. If your question is not in the scope of the readme, ask me.**

For the person that posted how to fit the battery (As soon as I find the post, I will add them)

Ignore the tape on my Slim battery. I opened the battery at one time to see something. It is not hard modded. If you need more proof, ask for what you want to see in the video and I'll make one.

    Edit:

Added a better video (Video #2)

It's possible to fit the slim battery into the fat without cutting of those tips, but it's not fully inserted meanwhile so it's a higher risk to fail.

I also noticed that it's possible to do this just by using hellcats recovery flasher 1.50 (with charger of course) and without the hassle being in service mode.

Yes, but with both your methods your taking more of a risk. Battery slipping, not being seated 100%. In service mode I know there will be no plug-ins effecting anything, people tend to be more careful in service mode, etc.

Yes of course the risk is higher when it's properly seated but couldn't people just disable plugins when using hellcats recovery flasher? And then, if the battery would slip, couldn't you just do another attempt right away as it writes over the corrupted serial?

    Thanks for info.
Unfortunatly i found this information after then i create slim battery Pandora on fat psp.

And the process goes without cory149's battery tool.
I use Pandora Installer for 3.xx
psp fat (5.00 M33-4), battery for slim (psp-s110) from psp slim (psp-2008 with (TA-085 v2) and A/C adapter.

the only negative of my way was that battery after pandoring was 40 minutes inaccessibly.
