I had 4 PSP 1000's that I haven't used forever. Had firmware 1.5 on it. Been years since I have hacked PSP's or done anything with them. Just today I found them stuffed in a closet, pulled them out and came on this site. Found this guide,
[GUIDE] Installing Despertar del Cementrio v5 - Update to 3.90M33 via Pandora
Followed all instructions EXCEPT I didn't install Time Machine as reading towards the bottom I thought I didn't have to if I make the TM folder and config.txt file.
DC5 installed fine but never asked me to hold down a button for booting later. It installed and said press X to exit. I did, pulled out the Pandora battery and memory stick, stuck in a regular battery and the PSP worked with version 390 M33 fine. I used the same battery and memory stick on the other 3 PSP's and worked the same way. However, went back and stuck in a regular battery in the first one again and it would not even come on.. No light or nothing. Then same happened to the other 3! Now the only way they come on is if I stick the Pandora battery in one with the memory stick that has dc5, it loads the dc5 menu asking to install custom 3.90 M33, dump and so on. Will not load normally anymore.
So, sorry guys I'm back from being so good at hacking these, to being a noob after all these years. What have I done wrong, and what is a step by step way I can fix all my PSP's to work again?! :Argh: I should have kept up with the scene, but after years of modding Xbox, PSP's and stuff I moved on to iPhone and now bored with it to.
