also could you please post one or two screenshots.
I know it may be a bit tedious chrisp, but why not post a screen of each of those you've mentioned?
I just don't really see a point. But oh well. Here...
Spoiler for screens:
Some of the menus need a bit cleaning and redesigning, but they're not a very high priority right now.
ps. Small World of Creatures was what I called it before I decided to just go ahead and make an all out Pokemon clone.
man nice touch on the menus;) and the graphics are pretty decent...good job
i mean excellent job :D
an old pokemon for psp remake
if you need help maybe ask the developer of that game to let you use the source...maybe that will benefit you
I agree with elite999, it looks great so far!
Have you decided as to how players will receive their first Pokemon, and which ones they can choose from?
EDIT: Although I'm not sure you want the source to YAPR , though. It was good effort for its time, sure, but it was really buggy. May give you more of a headache than you already have!
fantastic job i like the menus, they could use just a little tweaking but still very nice. keep up the good work man its coming along great
I really love the start menu redesign. Very clean and modern, but doesn't seem out of place. The text in the battle menu seems odd to me though. It may be because I'm used to seeing the pixelized text in Blue version though. =\
Keep it up! I can't wait to play this.
this should me moved to the PSP Development section...
sounds like animal crossing and pokemon met, and this is there 1 night stand baby, anyways it sounds like an amazing idea, cant wait for it to get done, not that i care since i have a 3000 and wont be able to play it ne ways
Anything new to report?
Yes? Anything new chrisp6825?
he is away this week so he is not working on it untill he is back
Is he a student? I know a lot of schools are on spring break soon.
i dont think so but i couldnt say anyway considering the work he done in the last few days alone i feel that hes earnt a break!
yeah any hard working developer needs a break...and we should be patient as much as we can...hands up for chrisp6825
I got out of pokemon a long time ago, but I may come back in to try this out. Hope he is enjoying his break. XD
Hey thanks guys. Yeah I'm on spring break and just got home today, but leaving again Friday. Sorry, but I don't have anything new to report, except that I'm still pretty sure that the demo will be done before March is up.
I'll try to get something out soon though.
Here's what I've been working on lately..
This is a spreadsheet I made containing almost everything I need for each Pokemon : link
It took quite a while to put together, but I think that's the part that made all the other "Pokemon-remake developers" quit. And I got past it, so... now back to the game engine.
Ah, seems like you got it done. I was going to see if I couldn't help over the weekend but it looks like you're a speedy guy, eh xD
This seems like it's had some more work put into it then the other pokemon clones already.
Hah, thanks. It should. I'm not just throwing this together.
While I was gone I couldn't really work on the game, but I did get to figure some things out and clean up a bit of the code.
I've got the database loading into the game, I just need to re-write the battle system so it can index each Pokemon's info from the database.
I've also been looking at a way to encode data, so that when players save their data, it's almost Un-editable. So far I've looked at converting the data to ascii numerical values, then put through a sort of algorithm. Or some sort of Base64 encryption.
so you mean you want to have a good game that cheating in it would be hard...i support you and keep up the good work
Right, I'm not encrypting the source like a jack ***, just the save data
Bad choice, if I have the source it's very likely i'll be able to cheat regardless of your encryption.
Maybe it's only you who is that dishonest though eldiablov. :)
