easier to use a free one if you have no income to support the website and such!

Google ads can be added to almost any page on almost any host. Even sites hosted on free hosts.

I made a quick userbar. But it's not letting me use it... I can't upload it to QJ and I can't link to it once I upload it somewhere else. :\

Nope. Bugs so far have been easy to squash.
As far as the beta, I've almost got items functionality fully implemented and I'm going to start the next town soon.
It's not as far as I hoped I'd be right now, but it's coming along.

To be honest though, everyone has to start from somewhere, the foundations won't pop out of thin air after all ^_^. But like Ieuan said, slow progress is progress and means everyday we get closer to a brilliant homebrew ^_^ and site to boot ^_^.

geuss im kinda late with this but 110mb is a great free service that i've used that allows 110mb of space(15gb with 1 time payment) and 10gb of bandwith, it also gives you a domain name like this yourdomain.110mb.com example My Site about prohibition. thats my two cents

I like co.nr. It allows for shorter addresses (chrisp6825.co.nr).
But it's not a host, just a redirection service, more like an actual domain service.

You should add some 'Cheats' functionality into it aswell, also add in MissingNo (hmm... Classic.)

Cheats would contradict a fair game play for online. Since you would build up your Pokemon mostly off-line, then take them online, for instance. Then your battling with a cheated Pokemon.

I don't see a point in adding MissingNo. It's not a real Pokemon, it's a glitch. It is essentially a Mew, since it can learn all moves. But it doesn't have a defined image/form. I might as well add in Mew, which I am..

All 495 of them? Because I don't like them.
For some reason, when I see a new Pokemon game come out, I get mad because I know that the Pokemon in that game aren't the original 151. There's too many, a lot of them are dumb, and I miss my 151 childhood Pokemon.

If Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green had only the original 151 Pokemon in them, then I would not have started this Project.

Very good point. Loved SGC series because the idea of a new map and new pokemon was exciting, but it just got stupid after that.

Are you going to add any pokemon besides the original 151, just leave it or wait for others to make the remaining pokemon and you host them? I would love to see an option to choose which version of the game to play: 151 pokemon, second generation, third, etc. That way it would feel familiar to anyone who played it and the older players wouldn't look at something like a magnezone and go wtf?! (Magnezone is one of my least favorite "new" pokemon =P )

Again, keep it up! Can't wait for the release!

I really don't want to add the new Pokemon..
I'm alright with the idea of custom Pokemon.
I was thinking... After I get a full version out, I might take out all the Pokemon, and replace them with custom ones. Then every week or so, I could release more Pokemon. I'd be tempted to call them something other than "Pokemon" though.

Who knows, that could be a good step towards getting out from the copyright infringements. And another step towards an original home-brew game.

Also, someone asked about storage boxes when catching Pokemon. I forgot to say something about that..
There won't be storage boxes. That's a dumb idea that GameFreak came up with, and I won't re-create it.
So, there will just be "Bill's" PC and then all of your stored Pokemon.
There will still be an item storage and limit to how much you can carry in your pocket. But your item pocket will be much larger.
No limits on Pokemon or item storages in the PC.

Good chance.
I was actually thinking about making it where Pokemon can get mad at you, if they faint a lot or something. Then they might run away.

Right now, I'm working a bit on the NPCs. I want to add in a "tolerance level", where every NPC has a boiling point if you keep talking to them or messing with their stuff. Then they get mad at you. A reputation type thing.

You should make at least 1 custom legendary, and make different `small` side quests to get more powerfull items.

You should also do `riddle` like stuff, like in ruby (and the others) where there was the braille you had to figure out while capturing the Regi's

Slasher.
