Hello,my name is Daniel.I am new in psp-world but fully gratefull to people who helped the scene in anyway.
(one of the most used freatured of my recently bought psp is homebrew and emulators)
I was searching and reading about the emus working on this plataform (again thanks zx-81,uberjack******** ... and all others for your great job) ,and i found they was a try of port a virtual boy emu but it seems doesnt have key assignament, and the proyect was cancel.
I have some questions about it.
is it true the NEC VR4300 (n64 chip) is an advanced version of NEC V810 (virtual boy and pc-fx chip)?
Could be possible use then some part of great daedalus dinamic recompiler to emulate this plataform?
The other question is about pc-fx,the other console which used this chip.I have used two emus on pc,magicenginepcfx and mednafen (the second is gnu if someone is interesting in use on his/her pc but need bios file)
The first emu has the option of make cpu to work slower frecuency (until 7mhz,and curiosily the most games are full speed with this configuration(most of them only use the mjpeg decompresion chip of the system).I must said the games are fmw jmpeg video but VERY playable,as example tengay makyou and battle heat.(two of the most fmw playable game never done)
the last question is,according some text, the psp has mjpeg hardware decompresion and also pcm,as pc-fx console had, could be then possible to port a emu and it would work full speed, only needing to use main cpu to input/cpu and sending video and sound task to media engine?
thanks for your reply.
(I would like finish this post saying it is NOT a request ,only feel curiosity and i would like know more info of people who has worked on psp and also maybe give some new info in case someone would be interesting in this consoles.
(i dont know if it is allowed post donwload link or bios here,if someone is interesting in pc-fx ,virtual boy stuff, send me a pm and i could give some links and the pc-fx bios (it was very difficult for me found it)
