Came across THIS news.

That would be a very good move by sony. However, they most probably won't give us Kernel Level access or full SDK.

I can only see Sony dealing with official developers under licensing. But it would be neat if they distributed an official APP dev kit to the masses.

Unlikely, but if they were to give us kernel mode, they would only give us SOME kernel mode, because if these are going to be signed then it could just install CFW without needing anything else.

slasher, considering you don't know anything it'd better if you didn't pretend dont you think?

Anyway, this isn't as open as Apple's app store as you'll still have to fork out quite a bit of cash for the SDK. Typical Sony

i heard that the sdk cost was slashed by 80% recently, also i believe this rumor is what now known as the psp 'minis' thats launching in october.
not sure if they allow apps, but there is a 100mb size limit and it was announced at gamescom.

Not going to happen, But a PSP homebrew Applications Store, I'm developing right now... =)) look in the PSP releases.. I've released my first src for ProofReading.
