Yeah, he only reads half the info. He quoted that they could bypass the Iimit and failed to read the part about Sony working on it.

X.x you like to argue with people? This is what this is all about, a person who can't spell worth a ****. Trying to tell people who know this stuff more than them something that isnt true.
Zitat von GDG
No usually when people speculate its just an idea, which turns out most times wrong.
Zitat von GDG
Again with the argument if you cant find anything better to do than "await peoples arguments" then don't post please, fighting isnt going to solve anything especially since your wrong and proven wrong by multiple people and still for some reason think your right. Not to mention nobody ever denied that sony COULD take away the limit cap with a firmware update. Argh, reading your spelling is like taking a knife and cutting your stomach inch by inch. I swear if by tommorow you read this and still think your right, there is something the hell matter with you. You ought to read penny-arcade the have spelling suggestions you ought to know. Please read everything thoroughly then read it again. We don't need any "super-noobs" around here.

[muki? You know better than to post such images.]
The asking-who-wants-to-fight-some-more makes it obvious.
Here's what we know:
An unmodded PSP currently has a FAT limitation of 4GB. This has been tested and proven.
Here's what might happen:
Sony may decide to change the limit by implementing FAT32 in the firmware once they're comfortable enough that their firmware is extremelly solid and nearly exploit-free.
It's simple. How did this thread grow so large? ;)Geändert von NeilR-X (01-29-2006 um 08:28 PM Uhr)

ill tell you how, forst thing is that this thread is over with the 10GB thing. but tell me this when a computer is made is it made so that it can only have a certain amount of HD space or more. as ihave seen it the answer is no, so why then would SONY put something as stupid as a blocking tool that blocks psp from reading more than 4 GB if thay know technology is increasing at a fast rate, especially since we already have 2 gb chips in the IPOD NANO, meaning sony has to just make the chips smaller whihc is possible put them alltogether inside an ms and youve got a pretty big size.

Your hard drive uses NTFS probably, which allows something like 320terabytes (if formatted a certain way). This means a hard drive can have 320tb max.
The reason the PSP has the 4gigabyte limit is because it only recognizes FAT format. The PSP can recognize FAT32 but registers it as FAT. There are two theories as to why the PSP can't go past 4gigabytes:
1. It only supports FAT but recognizes FAT32 as a compatible version.
OR
2. The PSP supports both FAT and FAT32 but Sony has restricted the FAT32 format.MY POEMButterflyEverytime a butterfly flies awayAn emo child cries

Both solved by firmware updates.

FYI, if it's FAT32 then you have to handle it as FAT32, it's not that you have a choice (e.g. fall back to FAT).

That's what I thought as you have to convert to FAT32 meaning #1 doesn't work.
And GDG...we just wanted to prove to you that you're wrong. We're stupid? You have idiotic ideas, HORRIBLE spelling, punctuation deficiency, and you smell. That's right, I said it.MY POEMButterflyEverytime a butterfly flies awayAn emo child cries
