It seems as if everyone on this forum is looking for a flaw in version 2.7 to play homebrew. In a war against the very people who provide us with our toys. Now, I'd like to take a look into what I like to call "The Sony Perspective." Imagine you own your own company and you sell an amazing device, but you barly make any money from the device. You make money from the media that comes with the device. You then realize that users can download this media for free, your main source of income--free.
I don't think its the homebrew that sony doesnt like, its the UMDloaders. If we could come up with way to allow homebrew, without UMDloaders, I would bet sony would allow homebrew. The homebrew games are not going to take away profits, they will bring in more if anything.
I therefore believe that we should focus our attention, not on fighting against Sony but working together.
I had an idea how we could have homebrew without UMDloaders. Perhaps put a max size on homebrew apps, so that 1000 meg game isos wont run but all those other fun things, including emulators will. Remeber, emulators are sonys friend too, because we cant emulate ps1 games, but we can emulate all of the games from the "enemy"(nintendo).
I'm sure that there are other ways in which we could reach a comprimise with sony. Please post any furthur ideas here. Maybe we would be able to make a lasting difference, instead of looking for hacks everytime sony comes out with a new firmware version.
