Bricked PSP's now worth it?- with the modchip and all!
Well yeah probably been talked about in the modchip thread but I thought I would point it out. I think instead of installing the modchip on my 2.70 PSP, I would just go out and buy a bricked one for cheap. It works on two ends of the barrel think about it. A bricked PSP would be cheap, so if you install the modchip you've saved a ton of cash. But if the install fails then no worries because you bought the thingy for cheap!
Could this idea see bricked PSP raise in price? Express your thoughts...
Either Modchip or your current firmware
I think the only way this could work is that through the UP you will be able to enter the user mode and communicate with the original firmware via the software provided.... if not then I think this is just a replacement for your bricked PSP's therefore for $90 you can buy a UP modchip and have your bricked PSP working. This modchip boots from either the Modchip or it has an option to boot from the original PSP firmware. If you're psp is bricked this option will not be available to you and you will be forced to boot from the modchip.
