If they are blacklisted than they are fixed. They have been there for several firmwares, so I am sure they are fixed by now. Also, they are in utility.prx so we dont actually know why they are there.
Well, I suppose work could be done on them in 2.01 (if not blacklisted there), but it'd take a while to find the exploit and actually exploit it. Plus we don't know what access it'd give us. Fair enough it might possibly be quicker to load than GTA, but a hell of a lot more people own GTA so it'd be pointless. Plus if you didn't own GTA, you could upgrade to 2.50/2.60 and lend a copy from someone to run the downgrader to 1.50 and you wouldn't need an exploit in these games. So yeah, pretty much pointless.
They are blacklisted in 2.0+.
lol, then they are most definately pointless unless for some reason a 1.51 or 1.52 didn't want to upgrade...which would make them INCREDIBLY stupid, lol
so anyways, what ya working on at the minute TO?
Maybe that was what was stopping us from running 2.00 games on 1.5? The games listed in Utility.prx?
I very much doubt it. Some games actually required stuff from 2.00 rather than just tricking the PSP into thinking it's a 2.00. That's why it took so long to get GTA to work on 1.50.Zitat:

What what that have to do with it? Some if not all of those games only require 1.52 or lower.
Wasn't that because GTA was using the 2.00 savegame modules?Zitat:
Zitat von marv101
And one of the first modules loaded up when GTA ran were the savegame ones.
That's why it wasn't possible to run GTA on 1.5 until homebrew like Devhook and the firmware emulators were improved upon to make use of 2.00+ firmware dumps.
So yeah, some games might actually be using specially-coded-for-2.6+ PRX modules.
Actually, come to think of it, why would any 2.00 game be blacklisted for 1.50 in the first place in utility.prx (for 1.50), if 2.00 didn't exist in the first place? Think these last few posts should be ignored, lol
That's more than likely in my opinion, but since I don't know what modules are extra in 2.60+ compared to -2.50, I shall keep my mouth shut, lol.Zitat:

What happened to the guy who was going to make some savegames for those "blacklisted" games?
What would it matter though? If they are blacklisted, then they have most likely been fixed, in which case they are useless for the reasons I gave earlier (about 1.51 and 1.52 being utterly stupid)
They are blacklisted. That means they are patched. We don't even know why they are there truthfully and I dont think it has to do with saves.
Well, now that I got my hands on the 2.71 FW Dump, and have read through 50 pages of posts, I'm ready to start helping you guys look for an exploit.
Yeah well since we have no clue what they are then i think we should at least try one!! pJ14 has MC3: Dub edition and he has a v1.50! TO have him get the .bin so you can just try it with that. If it doesnt work, then it probably meant patched. If it works then...well you know :Jump:Zitat:

Why would it be there since 2.0 and Sony haes not patched it yet? They have had nearly a year. I honestly dont think the save idea is going to get us somewhere anymore.
Is there any other refrences in the firmware that could lead somewhere? What happened to the Kxploit one?
What kxploit one?
I read it wrong, sorry. :Argh:Zitat:

No problem. I cant believe this thread has over 500 posts already!
I can. It's rather a big deal, lol, cracking the latest firmware. Because of this, when Booster actually implements it into DevHook, I shall actually BUY loco roco instead of downloading it. Decent games are worth buying and supporting. It's only the cruddy ones I don't care about, lol, since I wouldn't buy them anyway. But I'll shhhh on that subject...
yea u should "shhh" lol!
BTW, i hope he updates devHook ASAP lol!
You could always update to 2.71 then you don't have to wait, lol.
exploit threads (real or fake) always grow quickly with flame, or work.Zitat:

Do you know if booster is working on it right now?
Guys, should I downgrade my PSP to 1.0 and back up to 2.6 to play Daxter(because it won't let me update) or should I wait until the new Devhook is released?
Yeah at least this one has actually been work, and hasnt had too much flaming and OT chat.
i left off on page 30 something yesterday, and now i dont want to go through 20+ pages getting caught up. i dont think anything has happened yet.
Nope, not really. I need to wait for FreePlay or Skylark to come on to get some dissasembly tools, so I can look into this more.Zitat:
Zitat von dracule
wait, devhook should be updated within the next 12 hours.Zitat:
Zitat von peteyg33
Where did you hear that?
lol, yes, but that would defy the object of having the "shhh" part :P lol. Actually, come to think of it, the new kernal eloader would technically allow more "shhhh", yeah? Or would there not be enough memory to run them?Zitat:
Zitat von TeamOverload
Don't be so sure. I'm sure they're working on DevHook right now, but that doesn't mean there won't be any bugs. If there are any problems, it could take weeks to fix.Zitat:

fanjita is trying to patch the ram to allow xmb homebrew booting, meaning there will be enough memory.
Which would require GTA every time the PSP is turned on, unless he patched Flash0, which he said he has no plans for. But isn't Fanjita against the "shhh", so why would he allow XMB booting (since no time would be saved if you are just loading one piece of homebrew) so there will be enough memory. Does some ordinary homebrew (i.e. no "shhhh") require tht much memory?
Yes I know this is starting to go off topic, but they're all becoming linked here, and besides, there's no new info on 2.7X stuff yet.
quote from booster (somewhat badly translated)
2.60 It operated. As soon as rearrangement to be attached, 2.60 support editions release are done.
2.60 Because reboot.bin presently cannot make with the installer, each one please prepare.
devhook which supported 2.60 are coming soon.
Prepare reboot.bin of 2.60 yourself.
Yeah but that doesnt say within 12 hours.
well when i came into this forum im sure the title read speculation :P lol
And translation? We have to get our own reboot.bins for it to work with 2.60? And what about 2.71? The reboot.bin on that has finally been decrypted and decompressed.
