Oh well, I sent it to him, maybe he will tell us more about it.

Oh well, I sent it to him, maybe he will tell us more about it.
Worth a shot. He's a good guy, he'll help us.
We need a big time whistle blower.
If he tells via pm, and someone else posts it publically, Sony will never know who leaked the info ;)
For some reason, I have a feeling that he wont know the combo though.
Yea agreed, but always worth a shot :) read 20pages since last night :SZitat:

It seems like that if he knew it, he would have shared by now.
Thats exactly my point.
He could always ask his sources.
Hope he does, this could (and probably will) lead to something.
Im not too sure though. If it is just restoring settings that is no different than doing it via xmb or bsod.

some interesting stuff
im giong to try something...is that debug menu only when exiting a game?? if so i might know something...
What are you trying? Did you figure out what game it is?
Yeah, but when you have a 1.5 you cant do it directly from the xmb. You would have to use something that acceses the flash. Am I right???
What might you know??? Also what game is this.Zitat:

I have no clue...so i decided to just button mash while in xmb, coming in/out of safe mode, with almost no success..Zitat:

One time i button mashed L & R when turning the psp on from safe mode, and i had a weird effect. I heard the sound you hear say, when you try to play a v2.50 game but only have 1.50 (the error sound, "ding") then my screen went white for a split second, and i was taken to the UMD directly (as if i was just putting a UMD in) - that doesnt normally happen with safe mode
btw this psp was v2.71
i coudlnt replicate the error though... :S
safe mode?Zitat:
Zitat von CoBrA2168
Yeah, psp doesnt have safe mode.
i need more sleep... :pZitat:
Zitat von TeamOverload
i meant to say sleep mode :S
What is safe mode???
read the post above...Zitat:
Zitat von Frenchb0yenius
he meant sleep mode
yeah i already said that...im so n00bish :rtfm:Zitat:
Zitat von Glynnder- PSPro
okay after like 7 posts of what he said that happens alot on this thread, what are we trying to do now?
OK I've been getting alot of PM's regarding a key press sequence.
The truth is that there is no key sequence the DEBUG / FLASH MODE that you are all talking about is entered using the software. An option on the software allows the PSP to enter a FLASH MODE which in return allows the access to the ROM/NAND chips (HARDWARE).
Sorry for not posting sooner as this seems to have throwing people in the wrong direction.
Some questions: So there is no button command to access any debug menu?Zitat:
Zitat von madmatty
Also, when you worked for sony, what did you do?
Could your sources at least get us the name of the program used for flashing?
Sorry can't say as was one of x amount of people..
Read my question ;)
It is custom software built in house... there is no name for it.Zitat:
Zitat von TeamOverload
If it was to be named it would be "FLASHER FOR PSP" hence the name of this topic.
So the only way to access the flash would be to create that serial cable?Zitat:
Zitat von madmatty
It was made by Japanse programmers and runs on Windows Server 2003 OS, so it is a WIN32 so don't bother with Linux either.Zitat:
Zitat von madmatty
thats cool, got any other useful imformation for us?Zitat:
Zitat von madmatty
At the present time YES, unless someone can find access via an exploit in the 2.71 firmware which I HIGHLEY doubt..(but then I would have to say that)Zitat:
Zitat von CoBrA2168
I am trying but of course I have to be very carefull as if I come out with something the minute someone said it to me, then they are going to know who is leaking it.Zitat:
Zitat von CoBrA2168
at least it makes sense its not an apple lol!
Ok, I only have a few questions for you madmatty; Does the PSP that you have, that you would use in your previous Sony job have custom firmware on it? And if so, what does it look like? Does it have a completely different interface from our XMB? And what are the features it has?
To add to that...want to get me a 1.5 with version set to 2.72, so I can go back to 1.5? You can ask your sources, lol. They could even sign it to my Mac Address, so I cant leak it.Zitat:
Zitat von FLai
YES to the first questionZitat:
Zitat von FLai
NO to the last question
I'm pissed off though I tell you soon why. Heres a clue!!!
Never mind I still have a 1.5 firmware which I don't intend to update in the future.
eerrrrrr, no dont sign it to his mac address =)
Oh and they can stick the CAM and GPS up their arses...
You're still full of it.Zitat:
