After roaming around the forums yesterday I saw something interesting that caught my eye. dany2009 said in Saizn's Black/White XMB thread that Saizn's icons didn't semi-brick his 3.10 OE-A PSP. He said the icons looked messed up. I immediately called for some screenshots, but he hasn't answered yet. Here's his original quote.
"um.......i don't know if its just me but i put these icon on my 3.10 psp (by accident of course) and it didn't brick my psp........but the icons are messed and i need the original 3.10 topmenu_plugin if its not "ilegal."

Now I don't know if he means that the icons have big squares on them like if you do when you put normal icons on a full resolution BG, but it could be. This is definately interesting, I'll keep my eyes peeled for screen shots. Hopefully this isn't just a noob not knowing what he's saying.

Hmm, interesting... the icons might be pixelated and out of place like when you use the wrong size of icons on a restricted size. Cant wait to see what it looks like.

This could help us figure out how to flash custom icons on 3.10 OE-A. Maybe 32-bit icons somehow work in 3.10 OEA? Just throwing it out there. Has anyone tried yet? (I'm pretty sure some of you have).

I think he had 3.10 OEA, but I don't think it makes a difference. Thing is, Saizn uploaded the wrong icons for the yellow theme's release. And dany2009 probably used those. I don't know what icon pack it was in the wrong release, but somehow it screwed up his icons on a 3.10 OEA. He's probably a noob, but I won't give up on this yet. Because we still don't have any screenshots.

I now have the screenshots, turns out he didn't flash the icons, instead he just flashed the bg which was full resolution and made those big squares around his icons. Guess this was nothing but a bad explanation. Although the screenshot is interesting. Notice how the USB icon is green.

That is just the background :|

If you flash any background that depends on the topmenu, you will get that.

He told me he flashed the icons and he didn't. eh nothing I can do. But it's cool how the USB connection is green.

And since the icons and wallpaper are different bits, the squares around the icons occurred.

Nothing that amazing.
