have you downloaded the ttf to pgf converter (ttf2pgf.exe) and extracted the ttf2pgf.exe to a folder and then put the convert-ttf.bat in the same folder as ttf2pgf.exe and then put your ttf file in the same folder aswell (make sure you rename your font.ttf to itn0.ttf or it wont work) double click the convert-ttf.bat and it will convert it & save it in the same folder. i will make a video tutorial when i get back from skool tomorow

no it converts .tff font files into .pgf files wihtout having to open a command prompt and converting them through that if you want to make shadows you will have to edit the orignal .ttf font file

ttf2pgf font.ttf ltn0.pgf 22bh0.8 b2.5i1.2

22 is the size, so that can be any number, i find 22 works with most fonts though, h is horizontal spacing, b is the guassian blur, and i is the intensity of the blur

help me understand this "22bh0.8 b2.5i1.2" 22 is the size of the font rigth umm b2.5 is the blur effect correct "i" is? italic and wat is "h0.8" for appreciate for the future help and any luck on my request guys

i is the intensity of the blur, as for the h0.8, just keep it as 0.8, and heres your font
Also, the B after 22 is bold, if you dont want bold just dont put the b there

ok i have upped a video tutorial of converting your ttf fonts to pgf psp font click here (the video is a tad slow for some reason something wrong wiht the recorder and a bit blurry because i had to make it smaller, its best viewed full screen)

you will need the ttf2pgf.exe (the actuall converter) click here
and for my convert-ttf.bat click here.
Place the ttf2pgf.exe and cygwin1.dll (which come in the zip download above, those are the only files you need but i moved them all over in the video) and the convet-tff.bat in a new folder together and place your fonts in that folder aswell (rename your fonts to ltn0.ttf) then double click the convert-tff.bat and it will convert the font to ltn0.pgf in the folder.

ok when it got to 98% this bloody computer just switched off so i turn it back on and the file did save luckily but you cant fast forward to anyplace in the video you will just have to watch it right through and pause it when you want.


HERE IS THE VIDEO
BEFORE DOING THIS JUST BY THE VIDEO PLEASE READ BELOW FOR DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS I HAVE MISSED OUT ON TWO IMPORTANT POINTS IN THE VIDEO SO PLEASE READ THIS FIRST THE VIDEO IS JUST BASICALLY A GUIDE PLEASE READ THIS FIRST, you will know what steps i missed out, they are in red and bold and have stars before them. So if you just want to skip the rest and go straight to them.

Ok so you load up file assistant and go into the flash1 section(by going to disk and then bios1) and then go into the registry folder and copy the two folders in their (system.dreg and system.ireg) to your memory stick. Then go into the flash0 section(by going to disk then bios0) and copy the font file to your memory stick. Exit file assistant and eloader and plug your psp to computer with usb cable (dur) find where you saved the system.dreg and system.ireg files and drap them to the desktop or your choosen folder that you can get to easily.
Next open up a hex editor (click here for winhex) and the open go to file open and find where you saved the system.dreg file and open that up.Then once it has opened click search from the tabs and then find text and type in flash0 and it will find the line with it in scroll accros the page until you see flash0:/font and rename it to ms0:/fontmod. click file save and overwrite the file.

*****I FORGOT TO PUT THIS IN THE VIDEO; when you donload the font converter

there will be a folder in the zip called fixupreg3 and in that is fixupreg3.exe and cygwin1.dll, extract these to where your system.dreg and system.ireg and double click the fixupreg3.exe and it will patch the system.dreg and system.ireg files so it doesnt corrupt. YOU NEED TO DO THIS I FORGOT TO PUT THIS IN THE VIDEO BECAUSE I HAD ALREADY DONE IT. now copy back the system.dreg and system.ireg files back to your memory stick overwriting the old ones.*****

You remember copying over the font folder from the flash0 memory and putting it on your memory stick, well find that folder on your memory stick and rename it to fontmod, now place all your formated fonts for psp in here (pgf format and all you need to worry about is the ltn0.pgf file which is the main font file (the menu font) all the others are for the typing font in the web browser and the virtual keyboard no need to worry about them unless you want to change the virtual keyboard font) the main one being ltn0.pgf my tutorial for converting tff fonts to pgf is on this just two posts above this one)
ok so now you've got all your fonts ready to work you need to copy back the system.dreg and system.ireg files to the flash0 memory. so boot up gta and the eloader then file assistant and find where you saved the system.dreg and system.ireg files on your memory stick.

*****O CRAP I FORGOT TO PUT THIS PART IN THE VIDEO ASWELL **** woopsy start over o boot up gta and the eloader then file assistant and find where you saved the system.dreg and system.ireg files on your memory stick, on the right pane of the file assistant open up the flash1 memory (bios1 by going to disk,bios1) then go into the registry directory. Then go back to the left pane and copy over the system.dreg and system.ireg files to the flash1 registry directory, overwriting the old ones.*****

Exit file assistant and eloader and turn off your psp (if you havnt seen the custom font already) and then turn your psp back on and your custom font should be installed :Jump: hope this helped

I just can't get it to work, I put everything were it needs to be I make sure everything is named right and then when I run the program. my command prompt runs for a split second and the only thing i'm able to make out is "failed"....help please!

I already edited the dreg to read from ms0: fontmod and used fixupdreg on them (assuming it fixes both buy them being in the same folder when launching the fixer). I guess I may be messing up on the part when putting the new files overwrighting the old. Whenever I select my registry folder (in ms0) and hit copy, It gives me a copy error at the bottom, but when I press a button, the folder appears where i coppied it to. I'm thinking maybe it's just copying the folder and not the ireg and dreg files. If so, how do I fix that? It seems I can't get into the registry folders to directly replace the files in file assistant. Maybe cause i'm using 0.03 and you guys are using 0.04. If that's the problem, could someone give me a link to the one you guys are using?

yes it could be the different version of file assistant (im using v.04), most likely is and when you only really need to just copy the system.dreg and system.ireg from your memory stick to bios1/registry if it comes up with a error again just go into the registry folder and delete system.dreg and system.ireg and then try copying them over from your memory stick :icon_smil

Well, I got V4 and tried going into the registry in the flash and deleted the 2 files, then I replaced them with the registry files on my ms0. I restarted, and got that weird blue screen with a bunch of english and japanese letters. After that, i had to reselect my settings like language and whatnot. I've had to do this for quite a few times. What am I doing wrong?
