the first step is to back up ur topmenu_plugin.rco right? well how do you back up your own? do you go to the xmb-icons250 folder and run the start.cmd?
I just used pspfiler to backup my topmenu_plugin.rco. I keep my original file in my seplugins folder for quick and easy access. You can also use other programs like xflash or the oe customizer programs to dump your firmware to backup your topmenu_plugin. But with pspfiler you can individually copy and backup firmware files.Zitat:

No. The one you backup is the original file you can use for recovery. The file created with start.cmd will be the custom generated file with your new icons.Zitat:

Can someone take a look at one of my icon packs to see if you can see whats wrong? I've made several icons and they all work fine except for these for some stupid reason that I can't figure out. PM me if you think you can help or reply here and I'll PM you. Thanks in advance. Its causing me to :Argh:
Press Select when the PSP FIler open, press O and then Square, everything should be in english now. Hold L + R + Dpad Left to turn on Hacker Mode (the mode allow you to copy/move/paste all sort of things to the files), the rest you should figure out yourselfZitat:

for all of you who are worried about space on the psp's f0, here are some things that I removed, the carmera prx and some other thing that has to do with the camera the gps prx and the rss suscriber(since i never use that anyways) and my psp works fine, plust i can make the icons on my psp disappear. :D
I removed the camera, update and bsfon files to make sure, that should clear about 1.3mb worth of space :tup:

1.) you dont need to...its included. look in the 'Backup topmenu_plugin.rcos' folderZitat:

2.) place them in the same folder as the ones with letters. it will be different depending on yout firmware. just copy them to the folder that fits your firmware and click yes to overright them (assuming you renamed them to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.bmp)
3.) GAME150
4.) X-Flash is safer...but PSP filer is more effective
The easiest way to either backup or copy your topmenu_plugin.rco is to use PSPset 0.9. To copy the rco to flash with PSPset, just copy the topmenu_plugin.rco to root of memstick and run PSPset and select Firmware tweaks then Flash topmenu_plugin.rco.

It doesn't matter where on the memory stick. Anywhere! As long as it in PSP.

dont use PSP filer....use 3.02 OE Customizer....it works for 3.03 OE-A
i used the icon packs found in the thread that is stickied
just throw the .rco file in root....then run the customizer
