Custom XMB Icons [56K Warning]

hey i have sum icons i found and i would like to have them in put into a .rco they need to be changed from 80x80 to 64x64 and maybe changed to 256 bmp they may already be 256 bmp i dont have a program in which to do this myself or i would so can sumone please do this for me
if anyone can do this i need it for a 3.03 OE-A' psp thanks oyea i also have them al numbered to where i want them to be

Go to Image > Image Mode > Choose RGB or somthing

but when i want to save it ..

the 8-bit choice is unable ..?

so how could i save it 8-bit

If you did it properly, with the right mode, when you save, 8bit should be available.

OK what should i chose in the New File menu ??

still got no 8-bit choice

just save it as a bmp if its in 256 color rgb mode it is in 8 bit color already

when i choce save as BMB i got a msgbox to choce the color tybe
and 8-bit is unabled

try switching it to Indexed Color, with 256 colors, then save it

Take your images and go into paint and resave each one as a 256 color bitmap and it should work.

thank you anubis i finally got it to work adn i hope you dont mind im using a slightly modifyed version of your theme i made the controller black so it looked like a ps2 controller

Glad you like it. I like the black controller. you should post it.

I use a Mac OS X Windows EXE icon for the Game now.

P.S you should download the new package in my guide to fix up some of the Icons with the original ones (Like the camera one for instance)

To fix the XMB labels open the zac.dat file located in the data folder with a hex editor. If you scroll down you should be able to see the XMB labels.

My bad, I made the video icon.

Er.... I bricked my PSP. Luckily, I had custom firmware to revive it, but that's not the point........ I was using zmathue's mod. I tried the 3.02 maker, and I put my icons in there. Now, when it was finished, I looked at it. Strangely enough, it was about 206KB. I thought, meh, and I just flashed it with X-Flash. I quit the program, and...................... ... nothing showed up. I took at the battery, and put it back in. I rebooted my PSP. Gladly enough, it showed the SCE wave thing. But when the background appeared, my PSP froze. I rebooted it again. Still the same thing. I flashed my original topmenu, and my PSP's back to normal. But I just wanted to ask what was happening...

thats weird it should be about 242 kb I think.

Maybe its something wrong with my package. I'll check it now because I'm on WIndows right now.
