Custom XMB Icons [56K Warning]

Hey, can someone edit these icons to work with the XMB? I'll generate the rco myself but I just can't edit the bmp's right to work with the generator for some reason. They are 8 bit, 64x64, and all 5.05KB. Anyway, plus I'm not as skilled as editing the pics to look good without cutting out a piece of something. Anyway, if anybody helps, it's greatly apreciated. they have to be 8-bit BMP and 64x64...your missing one key portion there



btw: Anubis, can you explain with detail how you extracted the icons from the rco?, i'm curious

No, I understand they have to be bmp. That's just the website I got the images from. For some reason when I edit them the way I want them, get them the right size and bit as a bmp, the generator doesn't want to make the rco saying that an icon is too big. I tried other peoples bmps and the generator worked on them. Maybe my BMP codec is damaged or something? I think I also got all the transparent stuff right too.
Edit about the forrbidden: Oh, strange...I was able to go to them just fine without getting that error...and I still can....maybe you have to have a cookie from their site or something....well here are some I'm sure arn't forrbidden:

There's 18 icons in there, quickman and bass have 2 each the rest are all different. I only tried the ones I'm using so some might be misaligned.

Would someone mind making these into a topmenu_rco for me or just converting them so I can make it.. I resized the images to 64 x 64 and 8bpp but everytime I run the convert they won't convert. Someone please help me out. Thanks In Advance..

i dont know how on psp. and the last time tried hex editing something i horribly broke the program

I don't know why they showed up like that on here, but I have the images on my desktop and they are bmp images.. And I just uploaded them to imageshack... They are all 64 x 64 and 5.05kb each...

Make them pngs.....

When .bmp files are uploaded to imageshack.us they are converted to .png.
I think it is best to upload them in .rar/.zip format to an upload site such as SaveFile

o, do u have extra files in ur xmbicons folder when u convert? if not i would try re-downloading the files

when you upload to imageshack there not converted to png the file name is just changed all you have to do is change .png to .bmp and they will work with the converter

Here's some death note icons I had made(Thanks to Fat_Cow for making the first set for me, They were good and I figured out how to make my own by looking at the ones he made for me): http://www.sendspace.com/file/rsu4xy

I also included some fonts(ttf, not the files to write to the psp or use the non-flash hack, you'll have to make those yourself since I'm not sure if it's legal to distribute them or not), for those that don't no about the fonts, go to qjs download section and search for font-hacker, I'm not sure if the readme is with the download or not so you might have to search for a guide yourself. Anyway, it allows you to change the font on the psp to a font you have. Here are the font's I included in the rar(I got them from: http://www.deathgod.org/main.php?x=multi/download):

Transmittion 1, 2, 3, and 4: These fonts seem to be the ones used forin L,K,N Transmission. They're called "Old English" and "Closter Black." Thank you so much to Thienthai.

Title Font: This font is very similar to the font used for the DEATH NOTE logo itself. (On the covers) Really cool!

Sand: Font edited to use for Deathgod Logo

Ryuk's Handwriting: There is also another font which a Japanese person made, that is a replica of the one found in death note. It can be found here. The url was broken however, so I just posted it here since I had it downloaded. All credit goes to that person, and NOT me.

Ryuk's Handwriting 2: This font was created by TO that also imitates Ryuk's handwriting, though a bit more readable. It was downloaded from here (where you can see the credits and preview)

Near's Handwriting: This font was used by Near from chapter 80 to 100. It was downloaded from here (where you can see the credits and preview)
