Custom XMB Icons [56K Warning]

Anubis I have 2 quick questions, are the main icons and the sub-icons the same 64x64? reason I asked is that I had 2 icons, both 64x64, and they occupied mostly the same amount of room within the 64x64 canvas. Still when I flashed it the main icon didn't flash while the sub-icons did. Also do you have more or less any idea just how much space withing the 64x64 field icons should occupy? I've noticed that sometimes if the icons are too wide they will just get clipped and the part that was cut will appear on the opposite side;however, if the are to tall the icon doesn't appear. At least that's what I've noticed so far.

On a side note to all the people using Anubis topmenu generator in windows if you are experiencing problems with missing files, right click on "my-xmb.cmd" click on edit or open the file with notepad or worpad. Next add "Rem " to lines #52 and 93 (if you don't have icon 22.bmp "Saved Data Icon" for example, substitute line # for whatever line # the icon you don't have is).

Yes the sub-icons and main icons will be the same size.


Icons should only occupy about 61 pixels wide out of the 64 px.
I don't know about the being too tall thing.


I should have commented out the saved_data utility icons. D'oh!

is there an easy way to go back to OE-B from OE-C or do I have to go back to 1.5 and then upgrade again?

anyone know why is it that when you use these icons and when you go to photo section and to the memorystick and press triangle and choose information you only see User capacity and Free space.. but not the magicgate info? first I thought it was due to my custom font but then I tried the original icons and with them you can see the magicgate info :/

You have to pay on a month to month basis. To install new icons, get the .rco, and replace it with the same on in the Resource folder on flash0:/

Tested in my 3.03 OE-C, works fine.
Also, why ain't ya using the 3.02 fixed version, with the right icons?

how come my top menu thing wont work i did every thing rite and coppied it to the rite place and when i go back to the xmb menu its the same icons

Can somebody help me (if possible)?
Everytime i save my icons as 256 gif images
and then save them in paint as 256bmp images
they don't show up properly? (in my psp)
I get a horrible black border around them where
they are suppost to be transparent.

If anyone can help, show me a guide or fix this then
i'll also donate some points.
(i am also reading the custom icon guide as i type this)

when u copy it, does it ask you to "overwrite"? r u sure it's going to "flash0:/vsh/resource"? and r u sure ur not just re-flashing your back-up copy? [[if you made one]]

Probably...I'll take a look at it when I get home.

But can you post the icons your using? That way I can make a icon-fixed rco with the hexing.
