But how do I make the waves "wider"??? WHeres the offset for this??

can someone write an idiot guide to hex editing? I just started this hex thing and i have no clue wut an offset, blah blah blah..... and how to find it. Looks like jibberish to me. Also i am using hex workshop

The Mario Karters posted a pic if custom wavy lines over the top of a custom BG. ( A detailed one, not just black ect...) I know this is possible on 1.5 firmware. But he is not on 1.5. (Because you can see the internet icon on his XMB) How the heck do you do that?

if you rename the reflection map part D:\test\reflection_map\re flection_white_09_s4_8bit .tga to anything else you get a very interesting display which changes as you move around the xmb...
I changed it to
D:\test\reflection_map\re flection_red_01_s4_8bit.t ga as a test and got a funny looking psp :P
I'll keep messing and let ya know if anything good happens
This program is sweet.
If possible can u all post videos of these? stills are nice but its really hard to tell how well it looks inmotion

yeah..Nevada's are pretty cool....but I'm liking MarioKarter's its definitely the closest to the ps3's lines so far.....did he ever actually release the file for that anyways?

But it will load it from the flash...

This way, it will just show it OVER the normal BG ;)
or you could alter your .rco file (which ever one contains bg info) and change the coordinates where the bgs are stored to something like say... ms0:/PSP/SYSTEMZitat:

No, that will not work anymore with newer firmware. I followed bstronga's guide here... http://forums.qj.net/1338021-post1.html and followed the steps described in 3.2 to redirect my 01-12.bmp wallpaper to memstick. I used the same method [editing vsh.prx] to redirect my system_plugin_bg.rco to memory stick.Zitat:
