Vulpix, I'm curious, how did you deflate the rco file? Do you just have to use one of the older pre-3.00 versions? I'd like to poke around in a few other rco's. Specifically I want to try and find the music visualizations and see if they work similar to these waves. Might be fun to swap some of their code into the waves plugin and see what happens.

That is just a background image. The guy who posted it was asking for someone to create it as a real wave. So no, there is no ps3-like wave yet.
I'm kind of curious about the points as well, as I am also a newbie. But I'm sure there is a post in one of the general qj forums that explains them.
Seriously... Does anyone have any specific guidelines for making extra waves? I have read every post in this thread (YES every post!) and am fascinated with the process and have been working with some changes myself. Specifically the gradient curves in offsets 2250 - 5250 (HEX) they seem to change some of the physics a bit... anyway, I am very interested in adding extra waves as people have done, but need a little assistance... How is it done precisely, are the offsets from 1aa5 to 1ba5 copied? then pasted? or inserted? Anyone got this to work?

From some very small scale testing, I think some of the hex values affect the frequency and amplitude of the waves, not sure if it helps anyone, but just throwing it out there.

Is there any way that someone can make a GUI for this kind of thing? I'm not really in the hex market when it comes to screwing with my PSP's interface. I won't even try to hex submenu icons. A neat feature would be sliders that affect thickness, color, gradients, things of that nature. Maybe add in the feature to add extra waves and whatnot. Just an idea for those who don't feel comfortable hex editing their PSP's interface.

I'm thinking the hex values we're changeing are modifying the A, B, and C values of the wave equations. Sorry if that was totally pointless, but I love math. ^_^
