xmbWave - Editing the Wave effect

yeah one the requirements for a screenshot should be a black backround so people can see exactly what it is instead of having to figure out which is the wave and which is the backround

Its an update of Pack1 that completes the basic RGB color-wheel for both Basic and Neon, and adds a few new Fusions.
Not to mention the minor bugfix of actually having the correct files in each rar. >_<

Pack3 won't come real soon because I plan to make almost every color I can think of and make both a thin and wide version of each color. Pack3 might even come with a flasher if I can talk to some DEVs I know. Or maybe Vulpix could add that to his next release. ~nudges~
Of course, all credit to Vulpix for his wonderful creator, without which I couldn't have made these.

To do this just set a black background then just as the PSP is going into USB mode hit the screen capture button and you will have the screen with no text and use paint or whatever you use to remove the top bar and the O Back on the bottom.

You can also corrupt the topmenu_plugin.rco in such a way that it loads the PSP, but the meus don't load up. So essentially, yuo get the waves moving infinitely without end until you turn off the PSP and go into recovery menu and replace the .rco

Even though that's more work than you probably want to do lol, If you are too slow at the music note button, it works =p

I agree this is the best wave evaaaaaaaaa! On page 60, the author posted the bin file with it too.. someone make the red into light blue!!

the red is too dark
maybe if it was firey looking it would be better

I personally think Nevada's waves are the best ones yet. Especially the Reflector one and the other one (forgot its name... :p). The PS3 wave won't be made until some of us can take a look at how the PS3's wave works. I'm not that hyped about a PS3 wave. :p

i just found a away to make the waves (standred waves not sure on crazy patteners) to move more (from top to bottem) in stead of staying in the middle



offset 0005f20: 66.63.75.72.76.65.2d.30 (fcurve-0) the number at the end can be changed to change how much the waves move around the sceen ill post more as soon as i figger more out :-P

ok so i take it the hex code for black would be 00-00-00.. at least i think so but it doesnt work.. maybe psp wont display black wave.. i couldnt get dark blue to work either it always made a rainbow.. but i was able to make certain colors in the rainbow thicker while the others stayed thin

Wow this is purely awesome... When I get home today I'm definitely going to try hex editing these :tup:

hex editing isnt a big deal. But when I am trying to understand how it is linked with waves function, color, shape and blah blah blah... that gets me crazy :)

If someone can tell me how to change each of the waves colour i'd be very happy.

Who likes? One of my favorites. it moves fast and changes colors often.

I dont get it..how do you guys get the black background?

I tried putting a black picture, but the wave gets overwritten...

Without the black background the wave looks like crap..

Basically what im doing is just taking the system_plugin_bg.rco and replacing it in flash0..

or am i supposed to use a flasher program?

Im on 3.10 oe-a' btw.
