ok i managed to find out and change what is making my wave red. it is the copyiing of a bunch of hex under string 00aa5 to the line right under it. i managed to change the whole line to white, yellow, cream and a verly light almost cream green. so im working on it more now. also if you move it too far it will become either a random rainbow or a normal wave
I can make an easy-link unlimited bandwidth image host!!Zitat:

yeah its the part that has that file name with relfection in it right? i noticed thats what made it different but i didnt know what part made it red cause it looked like it was just copied and not really changedZitat:
Zitat von wrcsti
it is just copied and not changed. it all depends on how far back you copy it that the color will change. but too farback and it wont appear, itll be a normal wave. im takin screenies of white and yellow now
I love you... lmao.. Thank you man.. Make more colors! YAYYYYYYYYZitat:
Zitat von wrcsti
If you have any time on your hands.. I hope to see screenshots of the Hex where you edit the colors..
Thanks again..
i look at that changing one and to me it looked exactly the same as the original one and when i went ahead and did the color change thing on the regular color area id just made a regualar color wave so i dont know.. im not really an expert anyways
ok heres what you did wrong, u dont change colors, u change where the starting of the adittion is so the aditionedwave (colored inside) apears in diferent colors.Zitat:
Zitat von AzumiUehara
Do you think it's possible to make those outer layers a bit smoother instead of having them choppy?Zitat:
Zitat von wrcsti
i have no idea how to do that pharonyk, its just what hapens when you make this type of wave i guess
Alright then.. By the way.. you only uploaded yellow..Zitat:
Zitat von wrcsti

white
thnx for telling me of the mising upload.
You're welcome.. I guess my next project is to figure out where you edited the colors.. since I suck at this.. and make it black/greyish/whatever_it_is/lollercops..Zitat:
Zitat von wrcsti
its not hard to do, i suck at this more than you do, i have no idea wut 31 means i know guys that can say exactly wut it means, i got lucky and figured it out. but yourwelcome for liking my waves :)
I seriously have no idea what you are talking about.. 31? eh..Zitat:
Zitat von wrcsti
Anyways.. I'll just wait for someone to do the Black or Blue one..
Your wave is the best professional looking one so far.. because it's relaxing and transparent..
i dont know how but i also managed to make em brighter, but i dont emember were. meh im off to bed. 140 am here
color is easy it goes like 00 - 00 - FF is bright blue while 00 - 00 - 77 is the shade of blue i make my wave and 00 - 88 - 00 is green. but the way he was changing is different from the way i was doing it
Heres my theme
Screenshot
But i need some help. I want the lines to be more solid, as opposed to just being outlined in blue. Using seph989s example on changing the colour, I changed all the values after the 1E3F offset to be like '..1' and it kinda looked multi coloured, and when i edit only the first few it just outlines it.
I still like my theme though! Thanks vulpix!
heres some hex color codes just remeber that its bgr not rgb so you have to switch the first two and last two green is always in the middle

This is basicly my understanding, I may be wrong:
Think of it as 2 big fat wave effects. (best portrait by this
These continue past the screen both on the top and bottom.
Defaultly, you see the edges of the waves. (1 top and 1 bottom wave locked to one, the other top and bottom locked to the other)
You can add another wave by duplicating 00001aa5 to 00001b95. This will create another 2 wave edges.
530 to 718 controls the waviness pattern of the wave. Details have not yet been figured out, so go nuts!
Around 7768 (Beginning and ending unknown) controls the colors and location of the colors. More details in the first post. Its does NOT control shape. It does however control opacity. The actual lines are mostly opaque, so editing the opacity here will make them seam thicker.
Around 9139 to around 24065. This is where it gets tricky. This controls the opacity and location of lines/details on the wave. (Why/how the segments are arranged is unknown)
Details have not been worked out. But, say you add/remove something at the beginning of this section, it will be added/removed from bottom of each of the waves. (e.g If you add a straight line at the beginning of the section, and you have 2 waves, you will see 2 straight lines moving to the wave pattern near the bottom of the screen.).
I am not shure if the location of the line is determined in the string or its location in the file.
Blanking 9309 to 13459? will make the bottom 2 wave edges completely disappear. (note that if you do this you will also need to add some 0's to the final rco so that the filesize is acceptable
So, theoretically, a easy way to make a PS3 wave would be to somehow remove one of the wave effects, and insert the look into 9139 to 24065, and then color it.
I may be completely wrong, but meh, the format is screwey, and things are duplicated in different places in different ways. (opacity is controlled in 9139 to 24065 as well as around 7768)
I dont even know if I'm installing my waves correctly. I just put the 2 generated file form the start.bat (sytem_plugin.rco and the system_plugin_bg_part2.bi n) I know that I am being a noob and doing something wrong here.
What is the icon-coder app for? Do I only need the .rco file for the custom waves?
So wait.. you know how to edit it now?Zitat:

AzumiUehara Are you from Wisconsin?
you only need the one with just system_plugin_bg.rco
nothing else.
EDIT: Beaten to it.

The icon-coder app is for taking rcos and deflating them into bins.Zitat:

-waits for somone to put like 12 waves =OZitat:
Zitat von Nielkie
yeah i understand how to now.. they just duplicated a part of the code twice to make the extra waves.. i could dupicate but was only able to make red till he said it depends on where you put it and i didnt think of that.. duh!Zitat:
