Treasure Hunter G In English

So I downloaded this SNES rom (originally in Japanese) along with the English patch and did everything that was asked of me in order for it to come out in English. But, I can't seem to get it to work as the game still loads and everything comes out in Japanese. If anybody has this game working in English any help would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure it should work on PSP.

Have you tried looking for a already translated rom instead of doing it yourself? I found one that was done already and it works great and its a really good game.
