before i discovered the beauty of BT, the Super Mario Roms were hard to find cause something called the ISDA prevented people from distributing these roms. I hope the ISDA burns in hell!

the hardest F**king rom to find for me was Advanced Wars 2 (for my comp GBA emu) I found almost 8 different roms, and NONE of them could get past the intro scene. :Argh: I got so angry at it, i deleted all the broken AW2 roms, went out to Gamestop and bought a real copy of the game.
on the PSP Snes front, the hardest one to find for me was called Terigamma(or something like that) Its the 3rd game in the soulblazer/illusions of Gaia trilogy and unrealeased in America. Even though i have several HUGE rom sites i search in, it took me at least 4 hours to find the game."God and the pigeons are one. Trust the pigeons" -Killer7
"can it kill the grimace?"
"NOTHING can kill the Grimace"-Clerks-the animated series

I have never really had trouble finding roms. I remember reading someone said that you shouldn't use google for finding them but I have only ever used Google for ROM searches until I found a decent site. Saying that it took me a while (few hours) to find a working version of Final Fantasy IV (Japanese Hard Type) with the J2E translation patch.
As for these Vote 1, Vote 2, Vote 3, Click to enter sites. These really do my head in as 9 times out of 10 they don't work or ask you to disable firewall (cos thats really reassuring) or I end with my CPU and Memory resources getting eaten into by the 1000's of popups generated and then whilst frantically trying to close them you inadvertantly click install on a hidden one and boom lovely lovely spyware.
As for ISO's I have never ever searched for these on search engines cos I like to keep my computer spyware and virus free. The only way I use for getting ISO's is BT. But I'm not giving links or even suggesting programs or explaining what BT means to the uneducated.
It took me forever to find Star Ocean 2 PAL version for the PSX. as this was extremely limited edition (around 500 copies I believe). I saw a original copy on amazon going for £180 and an unopened original for £475. So when I finally found a PAL iso I ran outside and screamed then came back inside and tried running it to find it corrupt. AARGH!!! So in the end I settled for the US NTSC version and patched it for PAL tv's.
Wow that was a long post. im going to lie down

Is there a way to run GTA 1 or 2 on psp? The pc ones, not the crappy gameboy ones. I've never tried the pc emulator but I assumed it had some restrictions from some of the games I've heard used, sam and max and whatnot, figured it wouldnt play stuff like jedi academy, but if it'll play gta i'll probably check it out.

I would say now If you use news groups or bit torrents It's not hard find any roms or any iso's . If you use regular web sites finding iso's will be difficult and certain roms will be hard to find like recent neo geo roms. I remember before news groups and torrents I went through hell to find kof 2000,2001 and metal slug 3 & 4.

Good choice my friend, but I suggest you go ahead and get the Super Mario World + Super Mario All Stars rom. All of the best mario games from the nes, remixed with better graphics, plus of course super mario world.
Zitat von coldconfession13
Also you shouldn't have such a hard time finding it for very long. I've found it on a small rom site and two large rom sites, in english.

A working KOF2003 for the NeoRageX emu. I have it working in mame32, but I would love to see it on the NeoRage. Also, I'm still trying to get my hands on some Sega Saturn roms like Daytona USA, Virtua Fighter 2, and Virtua Cop. Not having a credit card really does have many overwhelming disadvantages.

I would say finding a working copy of the Slayers SNES game was the most difficult for me. I spend a good 10 min before I could find it (this includes the testing time for trying out the non-working copies I found)

I can never understand how anybody could have trouble finding the most mainstream of all ROMs.
Anything with the Final Fantasy name will take me all of 20 seconds to locate.
