Any Turned Based Strategy Games for Any Emulator
Hey,
I still regret selling my GBA w/ all of my accessories for a PSP for one reason. Fire Emblem and Advanced Wars. I'm not saying that I regret buying a PSP because I think it's way better than the GBA but I just regret selling it, I should of just saved up money for it.
Anyway, we all know that the VBA (GBA Emulator) is extremely slow, and it really sucks because I want to play Fire Emblem and Advance Wars on it but there's no way I'm playing it w/ 5 FPS.
So, it comes down to the final solution. Finding a brand new 'turned based strategy' game for the SNES, or NES, SEGA, GBC, w/e. I just want to know if you guys know the name for any GOOD Turned Based Strategy Game.
BTW - Somone work on a faster GBA Emulator ;)
Thanks in advanced.

Also, are there good Turned-Based Strategy games for the GBC or NeoGeo?

I really, really like Fire Emblem and Advanced Wars, so if there are any game for any system that are almost the exact same style (preferably for GBC and SNES) that would be awesome.

You might want to try Metal Marines.
Its more about setting up bases, but its a good/fun strategy game.

There was an effort to translate Famicom Wars but was never completed and the patch that is left isn't too good.

I got Front Mission on the recomendation of this thread, but I've encountered a problem - on enterring into the town "Freedom" the game seems to encounter a problem. The screen doesn't exactly freeze - the little head of the sarge (or whatever he is) keeps moving, but the text is garbled and the mission doesn't move forward.
I'm using y31.
EDIT: I'm actually using y28. Never did get around to upgrading I guess.
Anyone else have this problem? Bad ROM? Incompatible EMU? Settings that need to be changed? Help! I'm enjoying this game and want to keep playing!

Yes I meant Frontmission, an awesome game, that is still having installments even today on the PS2.
I have not had that problem, I have been using Y25 for a while now, because all of the latest updates have not been worth updating.

I tried a complete reinstall with a new "cool" rom file, and played the first few missions again until I got to the Freedom mission again, and the same thing happened. I'm stumped what to do, but I guess I'll have to put this game to the side until a new emu comes out.

Don't worry about super famicom wars being in japanese. if you've played advance wars, which you have, just remember how many down certain menu options are and you're good to go.
