If it runs fine, who cares? Obviously, if it doesn't run properly it's easy to figure out. Increase frameskip, increase processing power, turn off sound, etc. It's not rocket science. If none of that works than the ROM just doesn't run right. Oh well.

I always cringe when somebody calls FF VI FF III. The way I see it is that you used to have the excuse of it calling itself FF III however after Final Fantasy Anthology was released that excuse dissapeared as its number was corrected in that.

I think that increasing the processing power should be the first thing you do. Then a frameskip of 1, if you can't get the desired speed with that. Try dropping the sound to 22 and leave a frameskip of 1 or 2 if necessary.

And if it doesn't play like that, you're probably out of luck. Much past that and it becomes totally unplayable.

Because it was in fact FF3 when it came to the US for SNES until Square decided to bring 4 and 5 to the states. Technically he's right for calling it 3 cause thats the original name.
