You'll see that the 1.5 folder has 2 folders in it one with a "%" percent sign and one without. eLoader doesn't require the special "%" one... that's a 1.5 only requirement. So if ever you download something that doesn't have a 1.0 version you can use use that as well. Fanjita and Ditlew have lists on their site of compatible homebrew be sure to check it out. http://noobz.eu

Shouldn't this thread be closed? After all Snes9x TYL is upto 0.42 and thus makes this thread kind of redundant.

Well it would have been redundant and have no need to be locked if someone hadnt bumped it.

i've just recently download the latest version, 0.4.2 (i've been stuck with 0.2c since it first came out) and i was wondering if it's safe to say that i should just use the same settings for games as 0.2c? i thought 0.4.2 would run things faster, but when i tried to play megaman x3, i noticed i had to lower the some of the settings like 0.2c. should i just change the settings like i had them, or keep them default until they turn out slow?

yea, i'm running at 333mhz and the "me" version. megaman x3 just happened to be the first game i tried out since i remembered it being pretty slow.

how about other games in general that needed "setting B" or "setting C", can these now run on "setting A"?

i'm sorry, but megaman x3 is not running perfect for me mister chief. i even made sure that rom had that [!] at the end of the name to make sure it is a "verified good dump." actually, the game does run perfect, until you encounter the first enemies. that's when slowdown starts.

it's only in that first level and are you using tyl 2 ,3 or 4? on 4 it should run perfect.

I've been fighting with 0.42 to make some games playable at full speed (Donkey Kong Country 1.1 and Tetris Attack), and what I've discovered is that for some games, "me" version is slower than the other one.

I was using Media Engine version at the beginning, but not being happy with framerates on some games, I tried the other version, and I was shocked to see that I was getting more fps.

examples (after playing A LOT with different configs ON BOTH VERSIONS)

Donkey Kong Country 1.1 - more fps on the normal one
Tetris Attack - more fps on the ME version

both of them playable full speed and fluid, or that's what I think

and for Megaman X3, I'm playing it at full speed (55-80 fps) with sound at 22khz. what I've seen is that with frameskip 1 there's some sprites disappearing, at with frameskip 2 it runs perfect, fluid and no lag, on "me" version

I've discovered that SOME games run faster on ME version, while others run faster on the normal version.

I'm curious, snes9xtyl v0.4.2 no intro on firmware 2.6 ta082 with tiff exploint, does it seem to run noticably slower than any version of 0.4.2 snes9xtyl on the GTA exploit or on 1.5 firmware?

I'm not sure if skipping 2-3 fps is normal for people.
