Technically it'll load up on VBA, but it won't be in any playable state. Hopefully someone else is working on a GBA emulator.

I agree it is so slow that it is hardly playable. Soon hopefully they will make it better and we can maybe even play it faster than normal. The ROM max size is 16mb and lots of decent GBA games are more.

It's only a matter of time before someone starts working on it. The only problem is the complexity of emulating the GBA for the psp, as opposed to even the SNES. There aren't even that many GBA emulators on pc that run full speed. If people really start tapping the power of the psp's hardware, I don't doubt it will happen.

visual boy advance is the bomb for emulating gba. it's near flawless.. I have loaded all my games on my p4 2.4ghz, 1gig 2100, 9600xt... no probs at all.

I believe gba will come. in time. I tried vbapsp with fire emblem and it was mad mad mad mad mad slow. But it was great to SEE it at least. It'll come... in time.

Very good analogy.
Is it just me or does it seem completely inexcusable that VBA runs so slowly when neo geo cd runs perfectly?

its still crap. where the version before was a no legged turtle, this one is a one legged turtle. I could actually play advance wars if i had enough patience to wait for my cursor to move.

Oh, okay. It's weird though, because someone tried it and said that it ran good. He actually made a list of all the roms that ran decently. ****, this whole thing has me confused.

quite honestly the micro isnt looking half bad right now. the whole reason i dont carry a gameboy any more is because i dont wanna look like a total nerd with two full pockets, but having a micro around my neck would be pimp.

Someone correct me if im wrong but i believe the reason why the neogeo cd works better than vba is because with a cd image, the psp doesnt need to load everything into memory and it could just stream right off. The gba on the other hand, loads a lot into memory.

Ah, alright. Makes sense.
Well if theres no real hope of getting a gba emu to run at full speed, I may buy a gba micro.
*Checks prices*
Nevermind.
