If you like Zelda 3, you should try BS Zelda, I've only played a little bit of it, but from what I've played, it's pretty addicting. If you like Final Fight, try out TMNT 4, Final Fight Guy, or even Spiderman: Maximum Carnage\Lethal Foes, those games should quench your beat-'em-up thirst. If you're a Street Fighter fanboy that happens to like Gundam, you should definitely give Kidou Senshi Gundam: Endless Duel a shot (think SF Alpha meets Gundam), I've lost hours upon hours of my life playing that game. If RPG's are you're thing, I'd say try out Bahamut Lagoon (to which I'm currently addicted), it's a little more strategy based than your standard FF/ChronoTrigger, but I like it! And if you're a platformer, you can't really go wrong with Mario, Metriod, Mega Man, Castlevania, etc. Utimately, it seems you already have some favs in mind, so go with those first 'cuz you can't go wrong, but when you're feeling a little adventurous, give my recommendations a try. Most of them are Japanese titles, but they're all translated, so that shoudln't be a problem.
