NO no and no it is legal if you BUY THE CD its Legal if you OWN THE game of the rom.. so if you download a game is and dont own it they can own you.. but they go after the people who give them out becasue its to expensive to track people who are only downlaoding not worth the time and mone.y.

In Holland it's only 'illegal' to host files, but to download it is legal :icon_bigg.
But I've never heard of a conviction in Holland for uploading content though.

Internet is pretty cheap here too, I think almost as cheap as in Sweden or maybe even cheaper. 20 Mbit for €50,- :humped:. The providers here just want us to download so much, so we obey :).

Puma...it's deffinately a hell of alot cheaper :P You could get a pimp ass 5 bedroom house with 2 baths and jacuzzi and a pool for under 300,000, but I live in manitoba and it's damned cold in winter, and well, not california :P

The whole piracy thing is true though. I have friends that work in the abuse department of shaw and MTS (local DSL) and they just delete e-mails from the RIAA or any other org that is complaining. Shaw only really cares about your upload bandwidth and will cut you off if your are up'ing like 30+ gigs plus downloading 30+ gigs in a month...unless you have 'xtreme' then they give you abit more bandwidth...

Sweden would rock...man they are really ahead of us in the internet game....I want frickin fiber optics!!!

Lol, Canada is nice, after you live here for a while you get used to the cold in ontario (which isnt much usually) but it can get pretty damn cold!

Anyways, on another note, have any of you heard about people with ROGERS internet getting in trouble for doing anything out of the ordinary? :P

so let me get this right senic i live less than 40 min awy from candna i can just go there with my laptop find a hotspot download every song/movie/ios i want and the candna gov cant say dont do that than bring it to my desktop here and say i got it from candna the the u.s gov cant do anything to me

It is actually illegal in canada to post copy righted works but it is also illegal for government bodies to gather information about the uploading of such information because of the recent protection of personal information acts which have been posted across canada... dling and using such information is legal as long as it is not used to make money and is in a format which is not comercially available... god i love this country...
