seiken detsetsu 3 and ct
hi guys i am new to the forum.
Just wondering my bro imported a psp from hong kong.
So far with the snes emulation scene do chrono trigger and seiken desetsu 3 (secret of mana 2- which was never released in the US by squaresoft) run smoothly on the psp or are their major slowdowns or other problems. Cos if it runs fine i am thinking of borrowing my bro's psp just to play chrono trigger again and seiken detsetsu 3. Oh by the way if it isnt a hassle could someone who has already played the game on their psp post in game screenshots?
Thanks heaps and nice to be apart of the pspupdates forum.

Chrono Trigger doesn't have slowdown issues =/. Unless it's some kind of Uber-spell that takes up the whole screen with constant actions.
Haven't really played SD3 to tell you if it slows down or not.

Chrono doesnt have slowdown issues, as long as you play it on 2 frameskip. And as for mana, very very rare lag in one or two dungeons, but otherwise almost perfect with the right settings.

is it possible to adjust the settings like frameskip in the game whilst playing? or does that have to be adjusted prior to sending the snes roms to your memory card?

All settings can be adjusted on the fly, by a simple button push which takes you to the menu. You can change any setting, then go right back where you were. ;)

and SD3 runs almost perfectly with no frameskip at all i beat it with the thief a month agoNow Playing

will the slowdown issues be sorted out once newer versions of the snes emulator are released? or is it just unfixable by the emulations scene

I played Chrono Trigger all the way through and didn't have any problems with gameplay. Sometimes it wasn't full speed according to the frame-rate monitor, but I didn't notice. If you're a frame-rate-weenie, I suppose you'd probably notice every slowdown, but on a game like CT it hardly seems worth even having the frame rate monitor on.
I'm currently 2/3rd done with Link, and probably moving on to SoM or Lufia next, both of which seem to run smoothly too.
