I don't seem able to save when I playing Donkey Kong country in SNES9xtyl-0.2c emulator in PSP. Any ideas? Please help!

I can use the Save state option in SNES emulator.
What I am having problem is when you play Donkey Kong. There is a SRAM save option automatic built in ROM. That does not seem to work. Any ideas?
