Star Fox runs incredibly slow, at about 06fps. Its amazing because it is a relatively small game. I have tweaked it extensively. Anybody else have the same issues.

The original cart has a chip w/ custom hardware to run the game, you are lucky that it runs at all. I'm actually shocked it runs at all.Zitat:

What he said... I can't remember right now what the damn hardware was called, but it was very much hyped. Anyways, it worked liked a very primitive 3d renderer, but the problem is that aside from a proof-of-concept program I saw posted the other day, no homebrewer has really harnessed the 3d accel in the PSP. That's why you can't get it to run properly.Zitat:

It was calledd the Super FX chip. Other chips in carts include the DSP chip (used in Mario Kart aswell as others) and the Super FX 2 chip an improved version of the Super FX.Zitat:

That's the ticket! I knew it was a corny name.
LOL
Thanks for the info guys.
I grew up during that era and played alot of SNES and NES games but I don't remember that detail about Starfox. Thanks
Yeah, i belive Mario RPG also used the SFX2 chip, fun part is ... it took a very long time for any emu to run it (until 98-99).
BUT, why are you guys sooo surprised it runs? This is a port of Snes9x ... which supports it... it's already in the code. It's just time for optimization.
