Is there a good GBA emulator available ?
I found some, but I don't know which one works better.
any suggestions will be very apreciated

No, actually the newest PSPGBA runs ROMs at about 80%. Very playable in my opinion.

yeah,PSPGBA 1.1 is pretty fast, some games actually run perfect or near perfect

80%??? am I missing something?? Second version was much faster than the first one, however, I wouldn't call it 80% playable. Games such as CT Special force is somewhat playable, but ones like Castlevania is by no mean playable.

IF I'm missing something, let me know.

The gba emulator for psp has no sound.

Its very sad if u ask me since the psp should be able to handle a GBA emulator without any problems but its hard to get access to the GPU of the psp.

there is sound ofr psp when your in a game just press triangle and in the menu there is an option for sound it's just auto off since sound at 80% speed just well sounds messed up..

Honestly, nothing works "decently" yet but it has gotten better... consider it very much a work in progress. The source code was released with PSPGBA 1.1 so hopefully we'll see more improvement.

You sound as if it is their duty/obligation to come up with a fully working gba emulator- that's BS and you know it.

They DONT' NEED TO put their act together. You should be grateful that they are doing this out of their busy life. At least, make a big donation and make a comment like that.

Just imagine what the developer of the gba emulator would think after reading comment like that- It's such a big encouragement, right??

yes I'm happy they are working on it, it's free so i'm not crying, at least there's a SNES emulator, I finished my good old classics Megaman X-X3.
Kirby superstart isn't running great, but I hope someday

I just tried out few RPGs for GBA and here's the result (of course, I just played few minute of it WITHOUT sound)

Golden Sun - very playable even at frameskip 1
Final Fantasy IV - not playable
MeganMan Battle Chip - somewhat playable if you are dying to play
Tactics Ogre - barely playable at highest frameskip
Riviera - doesn't load, doh!

well, here's my 2 cents; first of all, you could argue what's 'playable' and what's not. RPG without music sacrifices alot..or any games. I would rather wait for next version (I'm crossing my fingers for Christmas) and it will be a BLAST if I could play GBA on my PSP.

I was thinking about buying M3 for DS to play GBA or those GBA 512Rom kit. However, I did a comparison between GBA/DS vs PSP and decided to wait for next version of GBA for PSP. Once you do the resolution comparison, same GBA game on PSP looks much better than ones on GBA/DS because of PSP's higher resolution. I guess once you see the difference between two, then you can't never go back unless you want better portability of GBA sp.

Anyway, let's just wait patiently and hope for the best.

(man, just thinking about getting full speed GBA emulator for PSP makes me shudder)
