Default VBA GBA emulator

I think I have it installed right. I used kxploit to create the dir's but I still get a corrupted icon...do I need a an icon file or anything else?
so far I just have two folders one with % and another without. Inside each is a eboot.phb...

Anyone got this running? Can you send me a .rar file with the correct paths?

charles.sutton@gmail.com

Thanks for any help!

Don't even bother with any GBA emulator at this time bro. They're all slow and buggy. Plus, they're a pain in the ass to get working. I suggest you wait for another release that's faster and more stable.

well damn...Im a little pissed at the lack of quality in the psp games.

Seriously if you want to play an RPG your choices are LoH or PoPo?
WTF they both suck.

There ARE some games that are ok...they just get boring really fast.

Prince of Persia is ok but I own that game already on another system. Xmen-Legends II is cool, but very very very repetitive...and those are the good ones!

Well I doubt too much more is going to happen with emulators. Oh well, I will just have to wait another few months for some decent games...

I would recomend psp gba 1.1 more then vba psp becuase psp gba is faster but it is still not close to full speed. What I can not understand is how we are extremely close to getting every rom on snes to full speed but we can not even get a few gba roms to run at half speed. Snes has better graphics then GBA so shouldn't itbe easier to emulate.

to master inuyasha, so true.
although, gba emus are pretty slow right now. But for the given speed, I recommend advance wars 1 and 2, gotta love 'em

I'm talking about the limitations on the size of the ROMs.

Plus, even if you could get it installed for him, it's slow, so it'd be useless.

These are the specs for the GBA

GBA
* CPU : 32-Bit ARM with embedded memory
* Memory : 32 Kbyte + 96 Kbyte VRAM (in CPU)
256 Kbyte WRAM (external of CPU)
* Screen : (diagonal) reflective TFT color LCD
* Resolution : 240 x 160 pixels
* Color : Can display 511 simultaneous colors in character mode and
32,768 simultaneous colors in bitmap mode
* Software : Fully compatible with Game Boy and
Game Boy Color Game Paks

GBA Tech Specs

These are the SPECS for the SNES
CPU type: 65c816 (16-bit)
CPU speed: 2.68 and 3.58 Mhz (change able)
RAM memory: 1 Mbit (128 Kbyte)
Picture Proc. Unit: 16-bit
Video RAM: 0.5 Mbit (64 Kbyte)
Max resolution: 512 x 448 pixels
Colors Available: 32 768 colors
Max colors at once: 256 colors
Max sprite size: 64 x 64 pixels
Max sprites: 128 sprites
Min/Max Cart Size: 2 Mbit - 48 Mbit
Sound chip: 8-bit Sony SPC700
Sound channels: 8

SNES

The GBA is a portable 32-bit system, the SNES was 16 bits. The GBA is the more powerful system. Just because GBA games and SNES games look similar, doesn't mean the systems are equal in power (remember, the GBA received a lot of SNES ports).

you'd think thoughthat if the system can emulate scumm and neocd perfectly it would be able to handle a poxy gba

is it just me or has emulation seemed to stand still a bit since gta and socom required 2.0 firmware, before then emulators ,updates and other homebrew was springing up all over the place then it just went dead, as if the devs all updated to play gta instead

hopefully now with fanjitas 2.0 launcher the homebrew scene will be back

It would be really nice if someone could update us on psp gba. I have alot of gba roms and I also want to play them on my psp instead of on my computer.

How so?

ISO loaders are not illegal, neither are backing up your UMDs.

It's illegal to download ISOs and use them, but not when you rip the ISO from the game you bought,

Or at least I think.

Either way, emulators are legal.

Yes. You do not own the game because you did not purchase it. End of story.

P.S. Caught you pirating again!

Technically, none of what you guys mentioned is legal unless you own the original and it is damaged or lost (unplayable but ownership can be verified). The rules on older software have recently changed for the better but they are still present.

Now let's get back on topic please.
