I got my PSP yesterday, first one. Anyway, it was 1.51 or something like that.

Upgraded to 2.0.

Downloaded the Eboot 2.0 to play SNES roms.

Downloaded the SNESTYL or whatever emulator. Put that on my memory card.

And downloaded some roms. It was a kick ass feeling to boot up my PSP and play some Chrono Trigger or some Super Metroid.

Anyway, quick question. Do I save normally at save points in the game, or does the emulator do it for me? And if I save, does it save the games to my memory card or to the emulator?

The emulator can "save state" and return you to EXACTLY where you were when you saved it. You can also use the normal in-game save.

I'm pretty sure you can set a time aswell to save state every 5 mins etc, although I dont recomend that. And the game is saved to the emulator... (im pretty sure)

Yes but in order for the SRAM to be saved by the emulator you have to exit cleanly which means by using the quit function in the emulator. In NesterJ, I think fanjita found a way to save the settings with the loader exit.
I R homaki on M4M i.e. im not on QJ for anything anymore.

Yes it is illegal if you do not own the original cartridge

Thats incorrect, for two reasons.

1. PLaces like pdroms ( i think thats right) have free non-commercial roms.

2.Downloading a rom that is copyrighted, is illegal. The only way you can have a rom of the game legally is to back up the rom yourself, and you can't use the rom UNLESS your original cartridge is broken, or unusable.

s9xTYL game saves and NesterJ saves are in a "Saves" folder inside that app's folder in your PSP. I back mine up every so often just in case something happens.
