What emu are you using, most of them have a state save in the menu, i think the menu for most of them is analogue nub to the right.

Hmmm that's weird, it should be in the load state save part of the menu.

when you use a save state, you MUST use the exit option when exiting the emulator.
especially if youre using the 2.00 eboot loader.

While you are playing SMW when you want to save push left on your analog stick it will come up with a menu you can Save State, Pick State, and Load State from this menu... Along with changeing Performance and Quality Settings. This works for me when you want to play again load up the rom once it start push left then select Load State and the return to game and boom you should be back to were you saved... Have Fun!

What you can also do is save to the ROM's memory like on a real Snes, goto the options and enable SRAM I think its called. Then when you save you game in the game it actually does save it to the rom for you.

Of course you can also use the save state aswell.
