Standard Jones in the Fast Lane

I used to play a game called Jones in the Fastlane by Sierra a long time ago. I was wondering if there is a way to play it on my PSP. I have the game on my PC but I was just wondering how I might get it running on the PSP. Will one of the emulators run it? Also is there an emulator that runs those type of old Dos games? Some of the ones I used to like were Ancients Death Watch and The Hugo series, Police Quest, Kings Quest. I remember you could go through and pick like 5 or 10 Dos Shareware games for like 10$ or something. Ahhhh memories. Thanks in advance for any help..

It's funny you mention this because I grew up on Sierra adventure games myself.

There's the Bochs x86 Emulator which you can setup MS-DOS and run. You can use this tutorial and subsitute Win95 for MS-DOS... I really haven't tried it though so I can't say if the emulation is as slow as Win95, or if MS-DOS works at all, but I can't see why not.

The "funny" part I mentioned earlier is that I had a lightbulb moment over the weekend and remembered that those old games were released on Amiga as well. So I checked out the PSPUAE Amiga emulator and found it to be great. Games like the original King's Quest (the games where the action doesn't stop when you have to type) are not playable because of the keyboard interface, and later games like King's Quest 4 or Police Quest 2 can be somewhat annoying for the same reason. Later games such as King's Quest 5 (games with full point-and-click interface) work really well.

The emulator uses floppy disk images (basically roms) to load the game. You'll also have to find the required amiga firmware ROM (KICK.ROM) and it helps to find an "empty" ROM so you can save your game.

I haven't tried Jones in the Fast Lane specifically, but I suggest checking it out. Let me know if you need any help.

P.S. Jones was hilarious!! I can still remember the Employment Center guy... "Congratulations, You got the job!!". lol.. good memories.
