The Last Blade (1 and 2), odd issue

So I have the NeoCD emulator, and it is simply amazing! I am no noob at this, and just about everything I have put into it works fine.

The issue I am hitting is in The Last Blade, both one and two. After I complete the first stage, the game freezes up and I have to reboot my PSP. Happends every time in both games. It says something along the lines of, I/O error.

I am curious to know if other poeple are having the same problem. I understand it could just be that the emulator is not completed yet, and I would except that ... only, I see it being listed under the "working" games.

I've tried it with the iso zipped and unzipped.

Any response is a good one. I really just want to figure out if it is just myself or if any body else is hitting this issue. So please let me know.

Beyond that though, NeoCD has been an excellent program - caused me to downgrade from 2.0 :) .

i honestly dont know what to tell you.
last blade 2 is one of the top most played games on my psp, and i havent had any issues like that *also played lb1 and didnt have any troubles with that either.*

are you using 0.6.2? the latest version?

How hard are the motions to do in Last Blade? Half circles and all?

hartleyshc - that is good enough information, lets me know the problem is probably on my end. I am running the latest version on a 1.5, so, my remaining guess is that either, my PSP is wicked screwy, my memstick is having issues, or the version itself is bad.

Like I said, any information is good information :)

spindoc - from the limited amount I have played, it hasnt been horrible, the analog nub really makes that type of movement pretty easy.

hartleyshc is right in saying that this would become one of the most played games on your PSP, it is simply amazing, it hurts knowing that I have this issue.

Simpson17 - thanks for the screen shot, yeah, thats exactly the same problem I am having as well.

I have checked it on the new version, still locks up at the start of the second stage - in both Last Blade one and two.

Only one person has it working, and since the PSP is pretty standardized, I just want to establish if there is anything that all of us with problems share in common.

I'm running a US 1.5 (upgraded then downgraded) on a Sandisk 1G duo stick. The iso's for all my NeoGeoCD games are zipped using the "ultra" zip setting in 7zip program.

Alright I got it to work, try running it on version 0.5

okay, I had a bit of time and did some research ... it appears that this error means the game needs to be hacked.

okay, I can verify that it works ... I wont try and describe the entire process, but all it really requires is swapping out a single file in the Last Blade 2 file (or zip) with a hacked one.

I didnt test it with LB1, but I assume it will work fine. Hope this helps y'all
