getting ROM's to run properly (need help with Chrono Trigger & SMSS-folders, ect)

hello, I had the same fusrttion when trying to run Doom for the NES emulator, so I just deleted the NES/NES% emulator & the Doom ROM out of my GAME folder. I just want to know after downlaoding the ROM, where to put it in the folders and then how to play it. for reference, I'm I've already dl'ed Chrono Trigger, and am going to dl Super Mario Super Stars* after I get Chrono Trigger working...if anyone can tell me how to do this, or give me a link, I'd really appreciate it. I've already check the giant FAQ, but found nothing on this subject. :wall:

*oh, about the SMSS: I've heard that you can't play it on SNESy13-15 correct? if so, what emu would you advise to play it on?
