Default Is FF6 and Chrono Trigger slow for anyone else?

I tried running both FF6 and CT on SNES9X 0.03 and SNES9X 0.02y14, and found both to be really slow. i put the sound on lowest quality, used normal screen size, frame skip up, and sound off. it still runs slow.

i don't really want to play with the frameskip up above 5 or 6, cuz then it gets really choppy.

can SNES 9X 0.02y15 run these two games pretty well?

I have FF6 running at near full speed with these settings:

333 MHZ
Sound: 44KHZ
Frameskip: 2-3
Transparency: ON

Those should work. Looks and sounds great

They've always been pretty slow for me, but they work fine over all. I use y15, but i'll try the new y11 update version that was just released and tell you if there's any improvement.

UPDATE: The new y11 emulator seems to run FF6 and CT about the same as y15.
