THe reason I put this here is becasue this is where the problem seems to occur the most. Is it possible to create one sticky or a whloe category for favorite ROM's becasue there are tons of threads dedcated to wha tshould be in one thread.

We're a bit short on moderators at the moment (Even i'm not here, really). But yes, perhaps consolidating and stickying them is in short order (or a giant poll would be intersesting). We have been killing off newer threads.

Interesting, but what do you want us to do? Some guidelines for this thread would be nice because i've not really been following these 'favourite roms' threads.

Not just guidelines, stickeys maybe one for console and anyone who created a new thread after the stickeys were up would have a temp ban and if they continued a perm. ban.

Surely that means this forum would be filled with stickies?, That isn't very practical. I'll see what malum thinks and then we'll work on it.

The only way for something like that would work is if this forum was split into subforums for each emulator, and there could be a sticky in each one where people can list their favorite games. It's something to look into, but I'm not making any promises. ;)

And the other problem is that people have a tendency to NOT follow the rules. When there are open stickied threads like that, it tends to go off topic and all of a sudden there are pages and pages of posts that have nothing to do with "favorite games". And I can tell you right now that I will NOT be pruning stickied threads from multiple forums. ;)

:think:I've seen things like this work on different forums. One person controls it while people post and the person who controls it updates the first post. That way people can ignore off topic posts.

Thats what we're doing in the mods and media forum, the backgrounds thread is done in that way but doing it for each emulator like this would take far too long for 2 people, who knows we'll see.
