SNES Emulator/Rom Question
Do most snes roms run well on snes9x for the psp? I'm not going to play every snes game out there, but the good ones like Zelda, Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong, etc... will they run fine on normal settings. I don't need any enhancments for the game, just standard.

well if I had a psp I would. Why do people try to be a smartass on a simple question if you play with this stuff? I'm getting a psp, but won't know until next week about these emulators. Sorry for asking

I'm not being a smartass. If you want to know how they run, buy your PSP and try them yourself. We're not a ROM review site here.

ok smartass I was asking if anyone has tried them. It's not like I asked if barbie's adventures or tiny toons worked, I was asking about popular games which I'm sure many of you have tried. You like arguing?

FreePlay - No need to jump down the guys throat! If you don't want to post anything constructive then why waste valuable seconds of your life?
InTheZoneAC - Most games run pretty well, Zelda - Links Awakening, Super Mario World, Super Ghouls N' Ghosts etc. Mode 7 and SuperFX is still pretty much no-go at the moment, so Super Mario Kart/F-Zero pretty much unplayable.
Oh by the way, if you buy a PSP at the moment you're likely to get a 2.01+ machine, you really need 2.00 or ideally 1.5 so do a bit of shopping around first!C2D E6600 @ 3.4 + GTX280 @ 720/1485/2600

So my remarks were a bit harsh, but he still could just search the forum and stop making us hold his hand.

i can see where both of you are coming from i think freeplay is just gettin annoyed at seeing these threads over and over again, especially when theres a stick right above about what roms work and dont, that what the stickys are for.

Eeeeexactly. It seems like rather than actually read the forums, they sign up just to ask a question without bothering to see if it's already been answered.

Or maybe they could browse the forum and see it immediately... since browsing the forum is what people should do anyways.

It should be common sense to look for a previous topic that you wanna ask about to see if its already been asked.

Cut newbies a bit of slack for christs sake. Simple question = simple answer. Not everyone is resourceful like you and me.

Tyl 0.2c is near-flawless and has a few more features - allows you to change gfx engine etc.
Nobody cares what PSP firmware you use.

When you download a game is the a file you need to make in order to get them to run and is there a file name i should be looking for (i.e. RAR, or 7z) or am i way off? Thanks for the help and sorry if this is the wrong place for this post.

no...one word...limewire...one search..rom. Place it inside of the emulator folder, open the program and you should be able to search through the directories to find the game, press O and play.

WoW I am a bit afraid to ask any q's after all the fighting, but I have a few Jap. SNES EMU's that have translation pathes with them. The read-me file with the EMU tells how to install them, but I am unable to get the tran. pathch working. The Games work fine... any help would be great!
